The lab has various funded projects on the comparison of host-alphavirus interactions at the immune response level in vivo in animal models through a novel viral-centric and multiOmic approach. Other projects include immune response evaluation of vaccine adjuvant candidates, development of cell-based reporter systems of viral infections to facilitate and accelerate antiviral studies, as well as development of novel vaccine strategies.

You will work closely with the NFS Teachers & supervisor, HODs in an MOE Secondary school (Nearest MRT : Ang Mo Kio) in the day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and tidy 2 NFS kitchens, food preparation and needlework rooms.
• Prepare ingredients and equipment for teachers to conduct Food & Nutrition (F&N) activities and practical work in the NFS kitchens daily.
• Prepare students’ ingredients and materials before lesson.
• Assist in checking and storing of goods.
• Assist in stock taking of equipment in the NFS kitchens, food preparation and needlework rooms.
• Assist to ensure safety in the kitchen eg switching off of gas valves, safe keeping of sharp objects such as knives.
• Assist in ensuring the kitchen is ready for N and O levels National examinations.
• Assist in doing major spring cleaning of 2 NFS kitchens, food preparation and needlework rooms during the June and December school holidays.
• Any ad hoc duties assigned as and when required based on the needs of the school.

Job Requirements:

1. Primary school education

2. Preferably 3 years working experience in the related field

3. Completed ‘Workplace Safety and Health Practices
