As part of IME’s Photonics & Sensors Department, the candidate will take lead for the development of various testing capability for advanced photonics, including but not limited to chip-level and wafer-level testing of optical devices and electro-optical devices. Responsibilities:

• Develop various photonics testing capabilities for both chips and wafers, including design and building of measurement setups
• Optimize data acquisition and analysis process to improve test efficiency, e.g. automation of measurement processes for wafer-scale testing and corner analysis
• Perform chip-scale and wafer-scale data collection for OE, EO and OO devices

We are looking for a full-time (42 hours per week) Research Fellow for 36 months appointment to commence in Feb/Mar 2025 or as soon as possible.

The project is to conduct research on how the acoustic environment of a room affects and facilitates teaching pedagogy. The focus will be on optimizing architectural design to improve speech intelligibility. The study will also investigate sound reinforcement systems to enhance the speech intelligibility.

The proposed research project includes several actual social science, architectural and engineering difficulties, from building design to the integration of technologies, human perception and material science. This postdoctoral position is focused on the development of a novel 3D-printed bone implant utilizing natural. The goal is to create a bone substitute that can be customized to patient-specific anatomy and effectively integrate with native bone tissue. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading research activities in material formulation, 3D printing process optimization, and in vitro/in vivo validation of the implant prototype.
