Our lab is focused on leveraging new technologies to better study microbial populations and their impact on human health. We have extensive experience in metagenomic analysis in clinically or commercially important contexts such as uncovering distinct microbial communities in households affected by paediatric eczema (PMID: 35318044) and revealing the microbial basis of body odour in teenagers (PMID: 30497517). We are now focusing on applying various -omics capabilities to larger sized disease cohorts to understand how microbial pathways and biomarkers change with disease progression and treatment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a highly interdisciplinary environment, with unique access to next-generation sequencing technologies and a wide range of samples. Project findings will have direct applications to ongoing and new microbiome research projects in the lab, particularly in skin diseases.

• To prepare patient for procedure by serving all necessary pre-medications and shaving the appropriate site and monitor the patient closely after a procedure in the CMU and notify the cardiologist/attending doctor of any abnormalities.
• To assist in procedures and prepare the various instrument trolleys required in various interventional procedures.
• To ensure safety to patient when applying principles of administration of contrast media, taking into consideration the contra-indications and history of patient.
• To respond and manage emergency situations in an efficient and calm manner, e.g. in Code Blue.
• To perform other assignments as and when required by the Nurse Manager/Clinician.

Job Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Nursing
• Post Basic Specialty Certificate/Advanced Diploma in Nursing.
• Singapore Nursing Board Practicing Certificate for Registered Nurse.
• At least 2-5 years of clinical experience
• A minimum of 1 year experience in Cardiology or Radiology interventional procedures or equivalent
• 5 days work week (Mondays to Fridays, no overnight shift but with extended cases, on-call and callback)

We are looking for Hemodialysis Head Nurse to join us!

Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of Nurses.
• Wash, maintain and store all dialysis equipment safely.
• Ensure that all supplies, equipment are available for use at all times.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment within the dialysis centre.
• Participate as a member of the team in carrying out haemodialysis procedures.
• Able to perform needling of A-V fistulas, A-V graft for initiating haemodialysis process.
• Responsible that all dialysis equipment is safe, complete and fully operational before, during and after each use. Include cleaning dialysis machine surface, work table and dialysis chair with appropriate disinfectant after each use.
• Responsible to monitor and record patient’s vital signs during treatment and report any abnormality to staff f in charge.
• Assist other staffs and doctors during treatment and examination of patients on treatment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Cluster Head Nurse.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of related experience as a Head Nurse in a Dialysis Center.
• Diploma/ degree in Nursing or equivalent
• Registered with Singapore Nursing board
• Experience in renal care is a MUST.
• Must be able to commit to rotating shifts & weekends.
