The Singapore Gastric Cancer Consortium (SGCC) is a translational research group comprising clinicians and scientists working in gastric cancer research. The group aims to solve important clinical questions to improve the care of gastric cancer patients, facilitated by close interaction between clinicians and scientists, and with synergism that enables biologic discoveries in the laboratory to be validated in the clinical setting.

Our research theme, “Bringing Discoveries to Patients” was recently awarded the Open Fund - Large Collaborative Grant by the National Medical Research Council. • Conversant in local construction practices and codes for ACMV, electrical, fire protection, plumbing and sanitary services.
• Good co-ordination skills especially interfacing of M&E works with architectural and C&S works.
• Good analytical ability with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive and team player.

The successful candidate will work with Prof CHEN Wei on NAP-XPS investigation for interface engineered 2D materials under a project on NRF Investigatorship project "Interface Engineered Ferroelectric 2D Materials for Artificial Synapses and Neuromorphic Computing”.

The project focuses on the interface engineering for 2D materials for various applications, including neuromorphic computing and electrocatalysis, with particular emphasis on NAP-XPS technique. The selected candidate will work together with a team comprising experts in interfacial analysis about 2D materials and reaction mechanism study using home-made interface characterization tools.

Qualifications / Discipline:

• PhD in Chemistry or Materials in a research intensive and renowned University or Research Institute. The candidate shall publish at a few papers on top journals.
• Skills:

Job Description

• Conduct laboratory-based research on the microbial ecology and evolution of enteric pathogens, with a focus on pathogen life cycles, antimicrobial resistance acquisition, and virulence factors.

The Mechanobiology Institute (MBI) at the National University of Singapore is a multidisciplinary institute dedicated to developing new paradigms in biomedical research. We focus on the quantitative analysis of dynamic functional processes in pathogenesis (ranging from bacterial to cancer), tissue regeneration, and function.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join Prof. Lim Chwee Teck's lab at MBI. The Lim lab conducts research on biomedical problems relating to human diseases, in particular, diseases associated with cancer, malaria, sepsis and aging, and develops innovative mechanobiologically inspired platforms in microfluidics and wearable microdevices to detect, diagnose and treat such diseases.

The National University of Singapore invites applications for a Research Fellow in the Human Potential Translational Research Programme (HPTRP), Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The HPTRP brings together researchers from a wide range of disciplines with an interest to maximise human potential. In HPTRP, we aim to adopt a holistic perspective that considers human potential as an integrative measure of health, productivity, performance, human capital and overall well-being over the lifespan, in our environment. Appointments will be made on one-year contract, with the possibility of one-year extension.

Purpose of the post

The Research Fellow (RF) will plan and execute research studies to better understand the impact of environmental heat stress on various populations. The successful candidate will be responsible to, and work with, the Principal Investigator (PI) to ensure the successful and timely completion of the project.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate include but are not limited to:

1. Working closely with the PI to develop new research ideas, write up and present project proposals;
2. Designing research protocols and planning data collection strategies, guided by literature reviews and best practices;
3. Leading and training teams comprising Research Assistant(s), Students etc in the conduct of laboratory- and field-based research;
4. Establishing and managing databases;
5. Rigorous data analyses and interpretation of data;
6. Generating reports and high-quality publications for presentation to stakeholders and submission to top tier journals, respectively;
7. Leading a team comprising Research Assistant(s) and Students in the conduct of laboratory- and field-based research studies;
8. Working at different study sites, depending on the needs;

Qualifications

The applicant should:
