We are seeking one or more highly motivated and creative postdoctoral researchers to join our dynamic team at the Synthetic Biology for Clinical and Technological Innovation (SynCTI), Synthetic Biology Translational Research Programme, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) and the National Centre for Engineering Biology (NCEB).

Chronic unresolved inflammation is a key pathogenic feature of prevalent inflammatory disorders and related syndromes that together are predicted to affect close to 60 million people with an annual cost of $90B. As such, the global anti-inflammatory therapeutic market is in urgent need for new targets for therapeutic intervention.

The Ho lab at Duke-NUS is building a platform to mine the human genome for novel determinants of the inflammatory response. We are seeking an experienced researcher who will participate and drive the execution of this platform in collaboration with other senior members of the team. The selected candidate will be expected to work at the bench as well as manage some aspects of the project such as administration of documentation required for smooth operations. Successful completion of the project will lead to opportunities for transition to industry roles. About the Scientific Data Strategy Office at A*STAR

With data at the core of A*STAR's vision to be Singapore's Data, AI, and Hybrid Compute node for scientific research, the newly established Scientific Data Strategy Office (SDSO) is responsible for strategizing the delivery of Whole-of-A*STAR data products and services. Job Description

Genetic engineering of plants promises to provide sustainable solutions for food security and climate change mitigation. Current genetic engineering technologies using Agrobacterium, viruses and nanoparticles through syringe injection and biolistic bombardment suffer from limitations including narrow ranges of host species, low transformation efficiencies, strict restrictions on cargo types and sizes, tissue damage and unwanted transgene integration into plant genome. A major challenge to deliver exogenous material into plants is the cell wall barrier. The Tay lab will be hiring a research fellow to develop nanomaterials for plant genetic engineering, with the goal to produce plants with enhanced traits such as higher yield and weather-resistant.
