The primary objectives of these two positions are to foster a profound design principle towards novel, cost-effective electrocatalysts and reactors for the efficient conversion of CO2/CO into liquid fuels. A*STAR IDL aims to develop a cohesive A*STAR response integrated with National PREPARE programme, and to advance translational research in infectious diseases to improve both health and economic outcomes.

The Genetics of Host Immunity Lab at A*STAR IDL focuses on studying the genetic and immunological determinants of life-threatening viral diseases. We are interested in how variants in human genes, or their immunological phenocopies, can predispose patients to severe viral diseases upon exposure to common, yet typically benign viruses. Better understanding of the cause and mechanism of disease that drive the clinical manifestations in patients can guide the development of targeted and effective therapeutic strategies against viral infections.
