• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities

JOB REQUIREMENTS

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The Manager is a specialist in a specific area of health services research (HSR) with good understanding of the broad HSR landscape and trend. The Manager will offer both technical & administrative leadership and work closely with other members of a multi-disciplinary team to conduct research, particularly in his/her field of specialty, into the medical, social, economic and ethical implications of health care services to inform policy and medical decision-making as well as provide pragmatic, impactful healthcare solutions for resource planning and operations management.

The Manager will seek to pursue publication and presentation opportunities in peer-reviewed journals and international or local conferences as well as to conduct educational activity to promote and enable health services research in CGH community. The Manager will also be responsible to mentor and develop junior members within the department in his/her area of specialty. The Planetary Health Initiative is SDGHI’s newest strategic initiative. Planetary health pertains to the integrated state of health of both people and the planet. It recognizes that people’s health is now greatly shaped by human-driven global environmental change, such as climate change, environmental pollution, rapid urbanisation, biodiversity loss, among others. Addressing these interlocking challenges requires concerted actions within and beyond the health sector, spanning diverse disciplines and nations.

During the Initiative’s inaugural phase, the Institute will focus on launching new educational and capacity-building activities, conducting landscape analysis of the current state of play especially at the regional level, exploring research collaborations with other planetary health-oriented groups within Singapore and beyond, and implementing policy influencing and advocacy activities – all geared towards positioning the Institute as an emerging thought leader in planetary health in Asia and beyond.

Job Responsibilities:

• Liaise with the Operations team to ensure accurate billing charges for jobs and projects.
• Work closely with the Accounts Payable (AP) team to manage Purchase Order (POB) charges.
• Extract unbilled items from SAP and reconcile them with job details.
• Ensure all billed items for group billing are accurate and complete, verifying the correctness of charges.
• Prepare Accounts Receivable (A/R) invoices based on submitted job details from the Operations team.
• Ensure invoices are prepared in line with agreed rates in the contract or sales blanket, within 3 working days.
• Generate and send e-invoices to customers, ensuring that all necessary supporting documentation is included.
• Prepare and submit billing data, reports, and system inputs to customers as required.
• Handle customer queries or feedback regarding invoices and provide timely resolutions.
• Send Statements of Accounts to customers after the month-end A/R closing process.
• Extract and verify unbilled items in HCS AR closed orders following order completion, ensuring accurate reporting.
• Proactively follow up with customers on outstanding or overdue invoices to ensure timely payments.
• Ensure all receipts are properly recorded and supported by corresponding payment advice.
• Prepare billing-related reports to ensure completeness and accuracy in billing records.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 22301 standards as part of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Contribute to achieving the IMS Policy and IMS objectives.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Accounting or related field
