Job Description:

What this job involves:

Centralising all logs and requests

What we’re looking for is an expert who can effectively streamline processes and requests. Reporting to the facilities manager, you’ll provide superior call logging services—receiving and logging complaints containing complete details of the requests.

In line with this, you’ll tag each request with unique identity numbers to determine the nature of issues, and to dispatch them to the appropriate department. You’ll also follow up on the progress of each request by coordinating with respective assignees and monitoring their response time.

Fuzzing is a powerful technique for finding security vulnerabilities in systems and is used by corporations regularly. In this work, we will study the role of AI in cybersecurity - by aiding fuzzing techniques with large language models.

Tasks

• Conduct Research on AI-Aided Fuzzing: Lead research efforts to explore the integration of large language models (LLMs) with fuzzing techniques for identifying security vulnerabilities in systems. Design experiments and methodologies to evaluate the effectiveness of AI-aided fuzzing in comparison to traditional methods.
• Develop AI Models for Fuzzing Enhancement: Develop and implement AI models, including deep learning architectures, reinforcement learning algorithms, and natural language processing techniques, to enhance fuzzing capabilities. Job Description

The Experimental Marine Ecology Laboratory (EMEL) within the Department of Biological Sciences at the National University of Singapore is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant to work on a major new project “Maximizing the beneficial environmental effects of tropical hybrid shorelines (MaxBETH)”. This interdisciplinary research aims to determine how hybrid coastal protection systems can be implemented at large scales in Singapore as well as assessing the challenges and benefits of up-scaling and identifying the effects of hybrid shorelines on biophysical processes.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

• Carry out geochemical surveys
• Conduct field and lab work to measure carbon flux
• Assist in administrative work to support the project
• Coordinate with sister projects
• Prepare research manuscripts, reports, and presentations

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s and/or Masters degree in Earth Sciences, Geochemistry Marine Biology, Ecology, Geography, Environmental Studies, or other similar discipline. The candidates should have a strong passion for marine environment-related research. Research skills include geochemical survey techniques and analysis, sampling designs and lab protocols to measure carbon flux, statistical analysis, writing abilities, as well as the capacity to work within a diverse group of scientists, are desirable. Candidates with previous first-authored ecological publications will be given priority.

The Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) invites applications for the position of Research Assistant who will work with Assistant Professor Aron Meltzner’s research group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with surveying, sample collection, sample processing, carrying of equipment, and similar tasks
• Analyze and interpret tide-gauge data and sea-level proxy data from coral microatolls
• Arrange logistics and handle administrative requirements associated with field work, locally and overseas
• Assist with procurement of equipment and supplies, and similar administrative tasks
• Assist with obtaining research permits, and writing and submitting annual reports
• Participate in the preparation of presentations for conferences and of manuscripts for publication

Job Requirements:

• The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in geological or environmental sciences or similar field.
• The candidate should have extensive field experience in geological or environmental sciences, including field surveying and working in coastal environments.
• The candidate should have working knowledge of coral microatolls and how they grow.
• The candidate should have experience in Adobe® Photoshop®, Adobe® Illustrator®, Microsoft® Excel®, QGIS, R, RStudio, and Agisoft Metashape.
• The candidate must be able to swim, as this will be essential when working in the field.
• Experience doing remote field work overseas will be advantageous.
• Willingness to work occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends (with time off in lieu as appropriate) is essential, as the timing of field work is dictated by tides and seasons.
