A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs (A*IDL) is seeking for a Research Scientist to join us in our mission to to be a leading centre for infectious diseases research excellence in antimicrobial resistance, respiratory and vector-borne diseases. A*ID Labs brings together infectious diseases expertise from across multiple disciplines to drive cutting edge translational infectious diseases research to contribute to Singapore’s national preparedness.

You will be joining the Mucosal Infection Lab. The lab focuses on modelling mucosal infection using in vitro and in vivo systems with priority antimicrobial resistance (AMR) bacteria to understand disease pathogenesis. Specifically, the projects will involve dissecting the mechanisms in the gut-liver axis during bacterial induced pyrogenic liver abscess. Candidates with prior experience working with liver diseases and single-cell RNAseq are preferred.

• Basic molecular and protein assay including PCR and ELISA
• Small animal infection with AMR bacteria (Klebsiella pneumoniae and E. coli)
• Small animal microbiome colonization models

• Programming of SPSS templates, syntaxes for capturing of data, excel macros
• Creating a data coding frame / coding
• Manage and execute analysis type projects (e.g. when data is provided by client / data-mining in big data)
• Data analysis based on project specifications (e.g. cross-tabulations, custom-tables, pivot tables, significance testing, multivariate analysis, matrix analysis, discriminant analysis, parametric and non-parametric tests etc.)
• Data cleaning and vetting
• Prepare and finalise reports for both qualitative and quantitative in PowerPoint / Word / Excel

Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Business, Science or Social Sciences
• Applicants with diploma and related experience may apply
• Organization skills, aptitude to work in teams to meet deadlines
• Good analytics skills and aptitude for data
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power-point), experience with SPSS is an advantage.

Job Description

• Handling incoming and outgoing calls pertaining to residents' queries / feedback;
• Assist in cases creation in the system;
• Follow up with residents on the progress of the cases that have been attended by the estate team or other department (case by case) prior closing it in the system;
• Liaise with other team members from other departments pertaining to the feedback or queries cases;
• Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Must possess clear speaking voice and strong verbal communication skills;
• Proficient in English and/or other language / dialect to converse effectively with residents in Singapore;
• IT savvy;
• Able to work independently and also a team player;
• Fresh graduates with no work experience are welcome to apply as training is provided;
• Working Hours :4 Weekdays between Mondays to Fridays either 8am to 1230pm (for AM shift) OR 1230pm to 5pm (for PM shift) including 1 OFF day and Every Saturdays: 8am to 1pm.

Skills/Requirement

• Minimum of ITE, 'O' levels. Open to consider Entry Level agents/officers ( training will be provided )
• Experience in Call Centre, Banking or Customer Service (calls and correspondents) environment will be an advantage.
• Possess a positive mindset with a “CAN-DO” attitude and passion to deliver quality customer service.
• Good analytical skills; passion for working and is good in working with numbers.
• Resourceful, proactive, results-driven, attentive to details and a good team player who likes to work in a fast-paced changing environment.
• Passion for working, responsible and with good working attitude.
• Proficient in PC skills including MS Office applications.
• Ability to work on staggered/rotational shifts including weekends and Public Holidays to support 24x7 Contact Centre service operations.
