RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the scoping, preparation, review, and completion of the IPCC Special Report on Cities and Climate Change and play a key role in ensuring the scientific integrity and quality of the report.
• Support the planning, conducting, and reporting for the meetings and sessions organized by Working Group II, including IPCC Workshops and Expert Meetings and contribute to the scientific aspects of these meetings and sessions to facilitate informed decision-making.

The Research Officer will oversee the progress of the research study under the supervision of the Principal investigator. They will perform a variety of research activities which include planning and execution of experiments for functional validation, leading up to a scientific publication.

Main Duties:

1. Tissue Logistics

• Tracking of biological samples received in the lab pertaining to the study
• Collection of patient samples (FFPE, Tissue, WBC,DNA or RNA) from Pathology
• DNA/RNA extraction from frozen tissue or FFPE
• Submission of DNA/RNA samples to external sequencing partner

2. Cell culture

• Generation of cell line and/or organoids from tissue collected from the study
• Maintenance of these cell lines and/or organoids in culture

3. Perform tasks and support all aspects of the research project

Job Description:

• Preparation and implementation of Safety Program;
• Ensure all work practices comply safety policy and WSH act;
• Advise on Work Plan / Risk Assessment / Safe work Procedures;
• Ability to lead fellow colleagues and inculcate them towards safe work culture;
• Compile all relevant report and records, carry out daily safety inspection;
• Prepare and submit weekly safety report as required by management and clients;
• Participate and involve in OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 implementation and audit;
• Other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Job Requirements:

• Must be a Singapore Registered Safety Officer / Workplace Safety & Health Officer with the Ministry of Manpower, Singapore;
• Must have professional knowledge in WSHE legislation and regulations (WSH Act and Environment);
• Minimum Diploma in Building / Civil / Structural Engineering;
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in relevant job role and industry;
• Physically fit an healthy, hardworking and driven;
• Salary package commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day to day support in HR and administrative functions.
• Assist to verify business expense claims and leave records where applicable.
• Maintenance of employees p-files and HR documents.
• Screening of job applications, scheduling of interviews and interview candidates for assigned job positions.
• Assist with coordination of new hires on-boarding programme and conduct orientation.
• Handle training administration and coordination, including registration of training courses.
• Manage in-house Learning Management System on uploading events, sessions and completion of e-Learning modules.
• Co-ordinate, organize appointments and meetings with departmental secretaries, where required.
• Monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of office and grocery supplies.

Requirements:

• Min GCE 'O' Level
• 2 to 3 years of experience handling HR & Admin duties.
• Ability to work independently and cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team, reliable, meticulous, pro-active with good follow-up skills.

Working Location: Raffles Place

Working Hours: Mon- Fri 8.30am - 6.00pm

Job Responsibilities:

· Coordinate and implement all Environmental Control Programs.

· Ensure compliance of operations with NEA and EHS regulations.

· Produce Site Environmental Control Report in regular basis.

· Conduct environmental control audit and investigations.

· Perform the statutory roles of Registered ECO and maintain good environmental health standards.

· Maintain mandatory records and other documentation as may be required by the regulatory authorities.

· Advise the site staff on all matters related to environmental issues.

Job Requirements:

· Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in local ECO position.

· Possessed NEA Registered ECO

· Familiar with OSH/ISO documentation.

· Good verbal and written English language.

· Able to start work immediately or within short notice.

· Earth Control Measures Officer (ECMO) qualified.
