TACTICAL PROJECT LEADERSHIP

• Clearly outline project goals for each employee or department and how they impact or support Fab Leadership Team (FLT) or Corporate Initiatives
• Facilitate the definition of project missions, objectives, key tasks, as well as time and financial resource requirements. Provide yourself as a “conduit” between the Micron Manufacturing facilities and cross functional projects as required
• Work with project members to establish aggressive but achievable goals
• Develop benchmarks and frameworks to monitor project progress, risks, and change; and take corrective or proactive steps when necessary
• Work with the Fabs, PMO office, and the Central team to define, develop and maintain systems that allow for program and project success
• Understand and communicate to appropriate Micron members the project status, risks, change requests and requirements for completion
• Act as an advocate for business process improvements; and engineer solutions for business problems related to the project while meeting objectives

COMMUNICATION

• Maintain a strong and open relationship with peer group and appropriate managers in other functional areas. Communicate and respond to issues in a timely manner
• Demonstrates ability to give effective presentations to both small and large groups on project updates and new initiative proposals
• Periodically follows up with management team to ensure area goals are being met and get assistance in the removal of any obstacles that are preventing their completion. Uses all available resources to manage the successful completion of goals (including resources outside of the area)
• Ensure members have well documented update on area issues and projects update on a regular basis
• Provide updates both internal to the group, as well as all Fabs. Updates should show progress against the timelines
• Schedule meetings as required with your peer groups and update on areas performance, changes in Management decisions
• Develop external relationships to achieve new ideas and procedures to keep pace with Industry standards and methods
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity - Show respect for different cultures and languages; learn to pronounce names correctly; speak English slowly and clearly when interacting with non-native English speakers; invite feedback to ensure others understand
• Use conference call etiquette and enforce it during all meetings

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

• As new business processes are developed ensure training is provided and work with the training group to assist in development of training materials as required
• Develop clear successors within your group and coach/mentor to develop skills needed as a successor
• Work with Network Partners to ensure training needs are met.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering/ Industrial Engineering/Operations Management/ Project or Program Management/ related field of study

Position Summary:

The Operations Manager will oversee and coordinate the day-to-day activities of our Soft Service Team. This role involves planning and scheduling manpower, ensuring excellent service delivery, and managing client relationships.

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager specifically for Environmental Services. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient daily operations of cleaning services while adhering to contract requirements and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The Operations Manager will oversee manpower scheduling, staff performance, client relationships, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement manpower schedules to optimize daily cleaning operations and meet contract specifications and customer expectations.

· Monitor and assess manpower operations, recruit staff as needed, and ensure staff performance aligns with productivity and service quality standards.

· Review and develop manpower strategies to optimize team performance and operational efficiency.

· Manage and review daily staff attendance, performance evaluations, and ensure adherence to quality standards.

· Regularly monitor and control manpower costs to ensure alignment with the budget.

· Build and maintain strong client relationships to address their concerns and understand their cleaning requirements.

· Ensure the Soft Service Team adheres to cleaning schedules, checklists, and quality standards.

· Collaborate with the Soft Service Team and clients to review and improve operational plans.

· Manage inventory levels for cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies, and collaborate with procurement for timely replenishment.

· Develop, implement, and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

· Ensure compliance with workplace safety, health regulations, and proper use of cleaning chemicals and PPE.

· Assess staff training needs, develop and implement training plans to enhance skills and performance.

· Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure cleaning materials and equipment at competitive prices.

· Oversee health and safety compliance for cleaning operations, including staff adherence to safety protocols.

· Act as the primary point of contact for clients, promptly addressing any concerns or special requests.

· Supervise, train, and motivate the cleaning team to ensure high performance and adherence to health and safety standards.

· Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement performance improvement programs.

· Prepare and manage the cleaning operations budget, ensuring cost control without compromising service quality.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in operations management within the environmental services sector and handling multiple job sites.
• Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage client relationships and collaborate with team members.
• Proficiency in handling operational issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Experience in performance management and staff supervision.
• Ability to prepare detailed reports and analyse service performance.

Manager must be able to diagnose vehicle, do repair works, attend to customers and do some sales. Be able to speak/read chinese and english. Able to do stock taking and do ordering from suppliers. Working hours be monday to saturday 9 to 6.30pm. Facilitiate the smooth transition of workflow among work operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manages and oversees the day-to-day construction amnagement of the project
• Ensures the project site is safe and ensures that safety rules and HSE guidelines are followed
• Plans, organises, directs, controls, and evaluates construction projects from start to finish according to schedule
• Reviews construction sequence and provides inputs to Constructability review
• Leads a team of Discipline leads
• Delegates work to colleagues within the team
• Meets regularly with clients, third parties and other managers to report on progress
• Coordinates with Engineering/ Procurement/ Commissioning teams and provides input
• Ensures KPIs are met and reviews project schedule and ensures the required progress is achieved
• Conducts site visits and reports to Project Managers on project progress
• Demonstrates leadership in managing the subcontractors and leads
• Leads the team and ensure project completion within the set budget
• Ensures the work is done in accordance with the quality requirements, schedule, and conformance with the contract documents
• Manages subcontractor manpower and plans the work based on the project schedule
• Manages subcontractor manpower planning
• Oversees the logistical requirements of the project
• Responsible for planning out projects
• Responsible for ensuring the project goes according to plan during the implementation time frame

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or related engineering disciplines, Diploma holders with relevant experience are welcomed to apply
• Minimum 7 years of experience in EPC Projects for Oil & Gas, Offshore Renewables & Systems
• Good knowledge of understanding engineering drawings
• Able to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
• Able to motivate in a challenging work environment
• Good in planning, organising, interpersonal skills and able to work independently
• Able to work day & night shifts with extendable working hours
