Requirements

• at least 3 years of working experience, project management environment
• Minimum "O" Levels education
• Willing to work overtime

• Day/night shift (eg.3am-12pm)
• 24/7 respond to emergency
• Good communication skills, fluency in any dialects will be an advantage
• Class 3 license would be a plus
• Able to work under pressure

Responsibilites.

• To respond on emergency (standby 24/7 calls ) attend project sites while on duty and off duty.
• To communicate assigned cleaning duties to the cleaning team.
• To ensure teams adhere to safety measures during cleaning operations.
• To supervise, coordinate and manage work activities of cleaning staff.
• To assist the cleaning staff in resolving working issues with clients.
• To implement operation plans to improve work processes and service quality.
• To attend site meetings with operation team.

Job Responsibilities

• Distributes work to juniors, gives guidance/assist the juniors to prepare quotations on difficult/critical jobs
• Instructs the typist to type the quotations in priority order
• Negotiates tender/contract with owners/superintendents in shipyard, local/overseas (for additional work/new contracts)
• Analyses lost bids for gathering data for future reference
• Liaises with subcontractors/suppliers for cost estimates
• Looks for areas of cost-control in estimates and better estimating methods
• Inspects vessel in local/overseas and prepares quotation for certain complicated/major contract
• Checks the quotations prepared by the juniors to ensure with minimum qualifying remarks in owner’s conditions of contracts and repair specification and adjust the final pricing
• Answers and assists the juniors to answer queries from owners
• Ensures the safety of personnel through compliance with Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Regulations
• Ensures that Health, Safety & Environmental operating procedures are followed and counsel employees about compliance as necessary
• Participates in the preparation of Safe work, Environmental control and Emergency procedures
• Ensures that all Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) plans are followed
• Any other tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time

Job Requirement

• Degree or Diploma, City & Guild in Shipbuilding, Engineering or equivalent certification or GCE ‘O’ Level with relevant working experience
• 4 years’ working experience as estimators in a similar capacity
• Resourceful, cool-minded, excellent leadership and be able to work under stressful conditions
• Knowledge of cost estimates in marine industry, market structure, market changes, subcontractors’ and suppliers’ capabilities and prices
• Willing to work late on weekdays, weekends and public holidays should there be urgent tender deadlines to meet
• Willing to travel go overseas to inspect vessel/negotiate tender when necessary
• Need to be technically sound in marine industry work, know the market rate and have negotiation skills
