Job Description & Requirements

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

• Sets up growth strategy in Singapore, to develop Manitou Center Singapore Pte Ltd sales in all ways: product range, brand, market segments and applications.
• Strengthen the market coverage through extensive solicitation and networking with Singapore Rental Companies and End Users.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Define the sales and rental strategy for the Singapore territory:
• Define and deploy an adapted strategy with the Sales Manager to reach the sales targets: markets, type of customers, products etc.
• Work closely with the Sales Manager to define rental pricing policy and strategy.
• Developing local sales and rental marketing strategy with Sales Manager and Marketing team.
• Constantly look for new business opportunities with the assigned product portfolio - Manitou & Bluelift Product ranges.
• Optimize the rental activity:
• Primarily focuses on Warehousing Product Key account generation. (Industrial forklifts and indoor MEWP ranges)
• Follow up rental KPI and identify areas of improvement in the processes
• Define the benchmark and implement actions to increase profitability in the rental business
• Ensure a high customer satisfaction in the Singapore territory through continuous improvement and constant customer engagement
• Drive high customer satisfactory performance and definition of Manitou commitments towards the market
• People Management :
• Ensure a good cooperation between sales, service, operation admin team functions
• Reporting & Coordination :
• Delivery of weekly reports to Sales Manager.
• To liaise closely with the service and operation admin team to ensure that the customers are well serviced.
• To liaise closely with the Accounts department to ensure the outstanding debts or invoice payments are collected within the credit period of payment.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 1-3 years of job experience as a sales executive preferably in the Forklift Sales/Rental equipment industry with proven track records.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with mandarin speaking business associates.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, independent and results driven.
• Proven track record in a sales position.
• Familiar with Material Handling Products. (Industrial Forklifts, etc)
• Understanding of MEWP products.
• Familiar with Material Handling products.

Job Requirements

• 2-3 years sales working experience
• ‘O’ Level/ Diploma or relevant qualifications
• Pleasant and well-groomed
• Sales Associate operates in a fast-paced, diverse, and customer-centric store environment (drive, efficiency, and assertiveness)
• As the first point-of-contact in store, he/she serves as the ambassador of the organization (Highly motivated and service-oriented individual)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

• Being proactive in identifying and developing new business opportunities via effective selection and categorisation of customers
• Practice effective account planning, preparation and reporting by ensuring concise and effective update of reports as required by management
• Demonstrate effective account management and development to establish a deep understanding of the customer’s business and their problems/concerns and priorities
• Achieve sales and GP budgets through product demonstration to customers
• Undertake effective up to date market trend, information analysis of situations and data and thus providing feedback to management team to drive continuous improvement
• Assessing and identifying opportunities to reduce commercial risk, and negotiating of appropriate contractual terms and conditions and obligations
• Collaborate with engineering team to keep tabs on post-sales feedback and support technical assistance to address customer concerns
• To drive revenue growth from existing customer and soliciting for good customer farming experience

Requirements:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline
• 3 years of more with proven track sales records and technical understanding of how technical and product knowledge can be applied in practice with strong understanding of Pneumatic systems; motion and fluid control
• Hunter role and with a growth/entrepreneur mindset
• Equipped with strong problem-solving skills and a growth mindset to identify/address problem statement with appropriate solutions with the ability to convey information effectively
• Independent, self-starter, team player, eager learner, keen problem solver
• Own vehicle is required for frequent traveling
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to promote team work and growth
• Possess strong sense of curiosity, able to grasp technical concept quickly with a willingness to continuously learn and grow
