• As part of Line Management, you will work with different stakeholders within and across divisions to streamline work processes and policies across trade teams. Perform analysis on business flows, identify areas of improvement and opportunities to optimize yield by leveraging on data analytics.
• You will play a crucial role in enhancing our operational efficiency, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights for trade teams. You will be responsible for analyzing vast datasets relating to cargo flow operations and segmentation, vessel and customer profiling, as well as container inventory movement to drive informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources including booking systems, cargo flow modules, management reporting and customer databases
• Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) for various trade teams to make informed decisions
• Assist with the implementation of eCommerce projects and optimization of corporate systems, data and tools to enhance department productivity
• Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in shipping data to optimize cargo selections, routing management, and inventory management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including ISD, finance, logistics and operations to implement data-driven solutions and process improvements
• Steer improvement mindset and adoption of new technologies & processes
• Present findings and actionable recommendations to stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime, Data Science, Statistics or equivalent.
• Experience in data analysis in Freight forwarding / Maritime industry

Responsibilities:

Transactional / Document Processing

• Processing of accounting documents (vendor invoices, billing customers, etc) in accordance with SLA timeline accurately.

• Validation and submission of softcopy documents to centralised team for processing (vendor invoices, staff reimbursement, etc.) as per timeline.

• Compile documents and filing (as required).

Payment Processing (to vendors and from customers)

• Processing and update of both vendor and customer payments according to agreed turnaround timeline schedule.

Month-End Closing (including Reporting)

• Monitor and ensure all transactions complete within stipulate timeframe for smooth closing activities (including preparation of month-end reports, as required).

GST Preparation and Reconciliation

• Preparation and complete monthly GST computation and reconciliation record as per timeline.

• Ensure monthly MES documentations are prepared correctly in compliance to IRAS rule.

Vendor Statement of Accounts Reconciliation

• Preparation and submit completed monthly statement reconciliations for approval.

Volume Extraction & Generation of Reports

• Support monthly data extraction activity for consolidated monthly reporting.

Ad-Hoc Assignments

• As and when required or assigned.

Qualifications:
