The Sales Engineer will play a critical role in driving sales and delivering technical solutions that meet our clients’ needs. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and sales acumen, as you will work closely with customers to understand their requirements, present tailored solutions, and support the sales process from inception through to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Engagement and Relationship Management:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
• Conduct needs assessments to understand customer requirements and challenges.
• Provide technical consultation to customers, offering solutions that align with their operational goals.

2. Sales Support:

• Scout, develop and obtain leads with new customers to develop sales in your assigned territory.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
• Develop detailed quotes and proposals, addressing customer needs and specifying technical requirements.

3. Service Support:

• Liaise with customers, end-users and purchasers to introduce the company’s service capabilities.
• Drive the sales of services to existing and new customers with equipment sold by the company.
• Coordinate with the engineering and service teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
• Act as a point of contact for post-sales support, troubleshooting and sales of service.

4. Market and Product Knowledge:

• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape.
• Continuously enhance product knowledge and understand advancements in equipment and service offerings.
• Share insights, feedback and customer requirements with the product development and marketing teams to drive innovation.
• Participate in all company-participated trade shows and seminars in Singapore and abroad.

5. Training and Support:

• Educate customers on equipment features, benefits, and maintenance requirements.
• Conduct training sessions for customers and internal teams to ensure proper usage and understanding of products.
• Assist management with any other ad-hoc tasks and duties as and where required.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering preferred or related technical field, Minimum Diploma in related technical field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales engineering role, preferably within the equipment sales and service industry.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of vacuum pump technology or other technical equipment. Proficiency in technical sales and solution design.
• Sales Skills: Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing customer relationships.
• Travel: Required to support regional customers in Southeast Asia (30-40%).

Sales Performance

• Engage in upselling, cross selling and multiple selling for all product categories
• Monitor individual sales and achieve performance target and KPI
• Provide customer feedback on products, especially newly launched products

Client Management

• Strengthen customer relations, and nurture loyal customer base by implementing appropriate CRM tools
• Manage customer service quality, to meet customer expectations by offering professional and individual human touch with the customer

Store Operations / Store Maintenance / Store Management

• Maintain inventory accuracy and store merchandise

Requirements and Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of working experience in Service line such as Retail, Service, Airline and Hospitality
• Pro-active and have a strong interest in Luxury goods (Fashion, Timepiece, Jewellery)
• Well groomed and good interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently
• Possess a positive and outgoing personality to learn and engage clients.
