The Operation Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company canteen, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer service. The role includes managing staff, maintaining inventory, ordering supplies, and creating a positive dining experience for employees and visitors. The Canteen Manager will work closely with other departments to ensure efficient and effective operation while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Management:

- Oversee daily canteen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.

- Plan, prepare, and deliver a variety of nutritious and cost-effective meals and snacks to employees.

- Monitor food quality, presentation, and taste to ensure high standards.

- Manage the overall canteen environment to ensure it is clean, safe, and welcoming.

2. Staff Management:

- Supervise, train, and evaluate canteen staff, ensuring high levels of performance, professionalism, and customer service.

- Coordinate staff shifts, ensuring adequate coverage during peak times.

3. Inventory & Stock Management:

- Monitor stock levels, place orders for food, beverages, and supplies, and manage stock rotation to prevent waste.

- Ensure that supplies are within budget and that proper inventory records are maintained.

- Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing and delivery schedules.

4. Health & Safety Compliance:

- Ensure all food handling, preparation, and storage meets the required health and safety regulations.

- Regularly inspect kitchen and dining areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety standards.

- Ensure staff are trained and compliant with health, hygiene, and safety standards.

5. Budgeting & Financial Management:

- Develop and manage the canteen’s budget, ensuring it operates within financial constraints.

- Track and report on food costs, wastage, and overall financial performance.

- Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising on quality or service.

6. Customer Service:

- Provide excellent customer service by addressing employee feedback, resolving complaints, and ensuring satisfaction.

- Develop a friendly and positive environment for employees and visitors.

- Promote healthy eating options and accommodate dietary requirements.

7. Menu Planning & Promotion:

- Develop weekly/monthly menus in collaboration with nutritionists and based on employee preferences.

- Introduce new food items or themes to keep the menu fresh and interesting.

- Run promotions, special events, or themed food days to enhance engagement.

8. Reporting & Communication:

- Provide regular reports on canteen performance, including customer satisfaction, sales, and inventory usage.

- Communicate effectively with employees and management regarding menu updates, operational changes, or special events.

- Stay updated on trends in food service, sustainability, and dietary preferences.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Possess High School diploma or equivalent; Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or Business Management qualification preferred.

- Minimum 3 years of experience in food service, hospitality, or canteen management.

- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP).

- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Working Hours: Mon – Fri 9am – 6pm, Sat 9am - 1pm

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the department, leading a team of 10 staff members.
• Ensure the smooth and efficient handling of both air and sea shipments on a daily basis.
• Proactively address and resolve operational challenges, ensuring timely solutions to any issues that arise.

About the Role:

As the manager of APAC-TSC (Technical Support Centre), he is responsible for formulating, enforcing and supporting in the countries of the APAC region for all repair services / technical issues. The contents of support include introduction of repair service & field service, understanding of service level (quality / cost improvement / WIP management) in BC, business improvement, and various problem solving. In addition, he is also in charge of contact work with Global manufacturing HQ (OMSC / OSTE / OSTA), and, as a Japanese expatriate, he is also the main contact point for technical services related to Olympus Tokyo.

Roles and responsibilities:

· Communicate with OT/OSTE/OSTA (Global HQ and MBC) and formulation and execution of regional (APAC area) technical/repair service strategy.

· Achieve APAC Medical Repair target and communicate with global HQ for consideration of revision necessity for the target.

· Create/submit periodical repair service activity report in English and Japanese language to explain regional repair service activities and the progress of medical repair service priority measures.

· Participate in global service meetings and make consensus for service strategy from a global perspective in English and Japanese language.

· Communicate with global HQ to input the request from APAC for new products and create the APAC medical repair service strategy for new generation products.

· Communicate with other regions to benchmark their activity and introduce that to APAC region.

· Reinforcement of repair reduction of medical equipment in corporate with global HQ and MBC.

· Examination and promotion of regional repair system optimization.

· Introduction of repair service & field service,

· Understanding of S-BC’s service level (quality / cost improvement / WIP management), and maintaining and improving the quality of regional repair services of endoscopy products.

· Improving of the cost structure that can contribute to the medical service business.

· Strengthening / optimizing the local organization of APAC technical service department and developing next leaders (localize).

· Compliance to CHIP/GDPMDS requirement.

What we are looking for:

· Possesses a Degree in Engineering with related experience in Marketing or a Degree in any Business discipline with related experience/knowledge of engineering in the medical field.

· Minimum 10 years of working experience, related work experience in the medical device industry (e.g. Field Service Engineer, Repair Engineering, Quality Engineering experience)
