Role description:
Coordinating across regions in Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore, the Institutional Sales and Trading Specialist will focus on the sales of Intraday Fund to institutional investors and the execution of related orders, including global listed futures. This role is crucial in not only driving the Intraday Fund business but also in leading the marketing and order management of custom D1 basket products targeting hedge funds located in Singapore and Hong Kong.
The Institutional Sales and Trading Specialist will support institutional investors by providing advice on financing capabilities with proper risk management and introducing a wide range of product capabilities including custom baskets.
Other Responsibilities:
- Oversee the sales and order placements for Intraday Fund directed at institutional investors while executing related listed futures including both equities and bonds futures.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to engage hedge funds in Asia with our D1 custom basket products. Establish and maintain strong client relationships.
- Work closely with the Tokyo Multi-Product Sales Trading Team to achieve growth targets for both Intraday Fund business and D1 business, ensuring a collaborative approach to client service.
Requirements:
- A Degree from an accredited University.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in a Financial Institution with a focus on multi-product sales trading, execution of cash equity, derivatives, and mutual funds.
- Minimum of three years managerial experience.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Japanese is required to provide sales support, advisory services and execute related orders of institutional investors in the Japanese market, as well as liaise with Tokyo-based sales teams.
- Basic knowledge around various securities instruments and financing methods.
- Good organization and time management skills. Should be able to work under time pressure.
- Good inter-personal and strong verbal communication skills. Should be at ease in communicating with Sales and external clients.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
