Marketing Analyst (Contract/Up to $5000)
Freedom to choose methods within broadly defined processes and tools to produce the desired results. Typically handles inquiries of moderate scope and complexity. The position has a direct impact on the direct work group/team, providing direction and advice to coworkers. Responsible for various marketing activities for a Brand, product and/or channel. Defines and coordinates execution of market/ customer analysis, and reports on findings to guide business decisions. Implements marketing tactics around product, channel, pricing and promotions, and execute efforts identified on the marketing plan. Leads projects as well as initiatives to ensure the overall growth and branding strategy. Works under minimal supervision. Typically leads activities of moderate scope and complexity and develops solutions on product information operations, digital asset management, website or mobile app operations, channel and e-commerce operations, sales productivity solutions, intranet operations, standard pricing and maintenance, deviated pricing, bids and quotes, business agreements, merchandising, price optimization and analytics, customer insights, within CRM platform(s) such as creating and exporting reports, reports management, team re-assignment, importing leads, etc. Responsible for various CRM operations activities to service the end users, managers and/or channel. Helps to revise current SOPs and define new SOPs that improve efficiency of day-to-day work on the CRM platform and adjacent systems. Leads projects as well as initiatives to enhance overall adoption and use the CRM platform, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)
- Learns and applies business unit marketing policies, procedures and plans.
- Prepares market reports on customer, channel and competitors trends. Implements/executes marketing tactics identified on the marketing plan. Participates in and may lead project teams. Works under limited supervision.
- Understands selling processes and coordinates marketing plans to achieve sales objectives.
- Represents business unit’s product and services to customers and prospects.
- Provides appropriate sales support services to customers and distributors.
- Proactively reports all new or unusual pertinent market conditions, competitor activities, and product performance information to superior.
- Understands customer requirements and market forces.
- Able to work with the sales team to resolves customer and distributor issues and concerns.
- Maintains customer databases and generates internal database information, such as lists and counts for direct marketing projects.
- Provides marketing information/research to assist management in developing longer-term business plans.
- Coordinates schedules and preparation as per division’s calendar of activities for trade shows, promotions, seminars and training.
- Track, collate and maintain inventory of marketing materials.
- Maintains and communicates account and prospect information, maintains company resources, and sales support material.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing or business is preferred.
- Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment.
- Good level of interpersonal and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
