Job Scope:

• Assist teachers in the preparation of teaching materials, laboratory resources, conduct of practical sessions and preparation of worksheets;
• Provide support for programmes run by the department which may include shifting of bulky laboratory items;
• Accompany students on learning journeys;
• Manage inventory of school’s laboratory and science equipment and materials;
• Maintain cleanliness and neatness in the Science Laboratory; and
• Assist in any other duties assigned by the school.

Working Arrangement:

• Mondays to Thursdays: 7:00am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
• Fridays: 7:00am to 4:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
• Working hours may be adjusted occasionally, within the 42-hour per week limit, to meet school’s needs
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Requirement:

• At least 1 year of working experience;
• A pass in English Language at N or O level or its equivalent;
• A pass in Science at N or O level or its equivalent;
• Excellent team-player who is organized, meticulous and with the ability to multi-task;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; and
• Preferably to be proficient in Microsoft Office/Word.

Contract Period:

From 3 June 2024 to 2 June 2025 (with option to extend 1 year)

Key Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable in data analysis and interested in operations management, document management and virtual knowledge-space construction
• Having working knowledge of the biopharma environment is preferred
• Responsible for the use of data science methods in the management of departmental resources including physical inventory, the purchasing and tracking of lab materials, and other consumables
• Helps with providing data set to help management make operational, administrative and HR decisions such as the data visualization, retrieval and the tracking of training records
• Serves as the liaison between Quality, and EHS department and various production groups, responsible for departmental document management and distribution; responsible for departmental safety and quality inspections and gathering feedback
• Complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor related to the smooth running of the department

Key Requirements

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Cell biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedicine and other related majors is preferred
• Preferred internship period - Aug to Dec 2024
• Good experimental habits, ability to process and analyze data and solve problems, and strong execution skills
• Proficiency in operating MS Office suite software
• Knowledge of quality as it pertains to a manufacturing setting
• Mastery of the relevant rules and regulations involved in the position

- Implement the program for the class in accordance with the policies, guidelines, framework and philosophy of the centre.

- Guide primary school children (primary 1 to 5) to ensure completion of daily homework

- Keep accurate records of children’s progress and address each child’s educational and developmental needs on an individual basis to the best of your ability.

- Responsible for the preparation and upkeep of teaching resources, arrangement, appearance and learning environment of the classroom.

- Maintain and build relationships with children and parents.

• familiar with MOE Primary and Secondary Science Curriculum in Singapore.
