The Signature Research Programme in Health Services & Systems Research (“HSSR”) in Duke-NUS Medical School is a centre of academic excellence for research and education on the organisation, funding and delivery of health services. The programme’s focus is on public health and clinical service innovation in an increasingly complex and connected world. The major research focus of HSSR is the organisation and delivery of health and social services in the context of an ageing population. The research methods include decision science and simulation modelling, survey research, qualitative research, health economics, and implementation science and evaluation. Through its main hub in Singapore, the Centre will engage in multi-disciplinary research to promote women’s health, including a series of diet and lifestyle intervention studies.

Purpose of the role

The project coordinator/manager will play a key role in dietary intervention studies by actively managing and coordinating diet and lifestyle intervention studies in GloW. Responsibilities include performing administrative duties to ensure the studies’ success and compliance. The staff will work closely with Principal Investigators of intervention studies, collaborate closely with the research team, food service team, and other relevant stakeholders, as well as undertake other ad-hoc responsibilities assigned by the Centre’s Director as needed.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The staff will hold a few key responsibilities, including

• Recruit and interview study participants for the intervention study
• Provide administrative leadership for the trial, ensuring compliance with regulatory, ethics and governance requirements
• Train research assistants/research associates for the conduct of the intervention studies
• Maintain accurate records related to trial administration, participant interactions, and regulatory documentation
• Any other ad-hoc duties as allocated by the Centre Director

Qualifications

1. Possess a Master's degree (in Science or technology allied to food, health or nutrition, or relevant areas)

The successful candidate will work with Professor Barbaros Oezyilmaz under a project on Spin triplet superconductivity in van der Waals heterostructures.

The successful candidate will be working in state-of-the-art research environment and receive internationally competitive salary packages.

Our group has extensive experience in the fabrication and characterization of van der Waals heterostructures based on magnetic and superconducting layered materials. To support our ongoing work, we are looking for a new team member with extensive experience in low-temperature magneto-transport measurements. The candidate is expected to do research on spin triplet generation and characterization by introducing an additional layer of a magnetic semiconductor into existing heterostructures to realize spin mixing.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

1. Design and development of magnetic tunnel junction or spin valve.
