The Signature Research Programme in Health Services & Systems Research (“HSSR”) in Duke-NUS Medical School is a centre of academic excellence for research and education on the organisation, funding and delivery of health services. The programme’s focus is on public health and clinical service innovation in an increasingly complex and connected world. The major research focus of HSSR is the organisation and delivery of health and social services in the context of an ageing population. The research methods include decision science and simulation modelling, survey research, qualitative research, health economics, and implementation science and evaluation. DESCRIPTION

To join this team, we are looking for a candidate who will be in charge of enzyme engineering activities using state-of-the-art evolutionary engineering and computational enzyme design techniques. The candidate will be involved in the development of screening protocols, construction and screening of enzyme libraries, designed by in silico molecular modelling. These enzymes will be further used for the creation of novel metabolic pathways for terpenoid production in engineered bacterial strains.

Job Requirements

• Possess a PhD degree in economics, public policy, international relations, political science, law or other related fields, with specific application to energy, environmental or climate issues.
• Relevant work experience of a minimum 2 years, preferably in academia, consulting or in policy review and formulation.
• Applicants should have demonstrated experience in quantitative and/or qualitative policy analysis and are expected to have an adequate understanding of various econometric methodologies. Expected skillsets include one of the following:Econometric methods for causal inference;

As the Research Engineer (Equipment/Operations), you are directly involved in tool installation activities for semiconductor process tools. You are responsible for performing utilities turn-on after installation is completed. To support our ongoing work, we are looking for a new team member with extensive experience in low-temperature magneto-transport measurements. The candidate is expected to do research on spin triplet generation and characterization by introducing an additional layer of a magnetic semiconductor into existing heterostructures to realize spin mixing.

The Global Centre for Asian Women’s Health (GloW) aims to build a global research platform for transdisciplinary endeavours to address major health concerns over a woman's lifespan and across generations. Through its main hub in Singapore, the Centre will engage in multi-disciplinary research to promote women’s health, including a series of diet and lifestyle intervention studies.

Purpose of the role

The project coordinator/manager will play a key role in dietary intervention studies by actively managing and coordinating diet and lifestyle intervention studies in GloW. Responsibilities include performing administrative duties to ensure the studies’ success and compliance. The staff will work closely with Principal Investigators of intervention studies, collaborate closely with the research team, food service team, and other relevant stakeholders, as well as undertake other ad-hoc responsibilities assigned by the Centre’s Director as needed.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The staff will hold a few key responsibilities, including

• Recruit and interview study participants for the intervention study
• Provide administrative leadership for the trial, ensuring compliance with regulatory, ethics and governance requirements
• Train research assistants/research associates for the conduct of the intervention studies
