Requirements

• Good knowledge of cell based (potency) or ligand binding assays required in drug development process

The Centre for Ageing Research and Education (CARE) is an academic research centre in Duke-NUS Medical School. The laboratory of Dr. Tang Hong-Wen within the Signature Research Programme in Cancer and Stem Cell Biology (CSCB) at Duke-NUS is recruiting a Research Assistant with strong enthusiasm and interest in muscles and muscle stem cells. The Tang lab’s scientific focus is to understand how muscle functions get impaired during aging and tumorigenesis. Dr Tang’s laboratory uses unique cross-species and interdisciplinary approach incorporating Drosophila genetics, biochemistry, cell biology, and mouse models, to identify new evolutionary conserved mechanisms underlying human muscle diseases and provide new therapeutic strategies targeting muscle wasting and mitigating the effects of aging.

The selected candidate will perform a variety of functions related to research under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or his/her designate: -

• Perform tasks and support all aspects of the research project.

Job Description

The Duke-NUS Laboratory for Translational and Molecular Imaging (LTMI), Duke-NUS Medical School, is recruiting a Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow to lead state-of-the-art small animal imaging studies in Viral Infectious Disease. LTMI aims to develop local infrastructure and deep capabilities in the development of molecular imaging technologies for guiding the advancement and translation of new imaging biomarkers to guide novel therapeutics in viral infectious disease.

The successful candidate will lead pre-clinical imaging efforts to validate novel imaging probes that target potential biomarkers of viral infection and host response. He/She will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution and communication of research. Candidates with strong records of scientific accomplishment in radiopharmaceutical sciences, immunology or related disciplines are encouraged to apply.

Lead mouse model development and characterisation of viral disease.

• Perform in vivo characterisation of imaging probe specificity and sensitivity with PET/CT, SPECT/CT and/or optical imaging in combination with different treatment regimes.
• Monitor immune response to anti-viral, and vaccines with longitudinal imaging, supported with pathology (IHC/IF), and cellular assessment (flow cytometry).
• Ensure regulatory compliance of research, including legal and ethical requirements.

Job Description

The Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disorders (CVMD) Programme houses state-of-the-art technologies for profiling mitochondrial function and metabolic adaptations in human patients and other model organisms, and undertakes translational and clinical research in cardiovascular and metabolic disorders.

Prof Derek Hausenloy’s laboratory aims to discover new treatments for protecting the heart from acute ischaemia/reperfusion injury and for preventing heart failure. We use a translational approach to research comprising cell models, rodent models (atherosclerosis, acute myocardial infarction and heart failure), nanoparticles for delivery of therapeutics to the ischaemic heart, and clinical studies.

NGTC (National GaN Technology Centre) in IME is looking for a talent to join its Technology Team for R&D developments. The qualified candidate has opportunities to participate in technical tasks related to RF GaN foundry for the applications up to 140 GHz. This includes the following area:

• Perform experiments to analyse and determine the root cause of failure in GaN devices (e.g. Transistors, Capacitors, Inductors, Resistors, and Diode) and circuits.
• Join the cross-functional teams on appropriate FMEA (Failure Mode Effects & Analysis) techniques to establish an understanding of the failure mechanisms of the devices.
• Drives device reliability/qualification activities, and data correlation studies.

• Develop new FMEA techniques to improve detection capability, productivity or process optimization.

JOB REQUIREMENT

• PhD degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Materials Science or Physics, MS degree in EE with 5+ years or BS degree with 7+ years of relevant working experiences.
• > three-year of FMEA experience in step-by-step approach for identifying all possible failures in the semiconductor industry.
• FMEA experience in Wide-Bandgap (WBG) devices (GaAs, GaN) is plus.
• Good knowledge of WBG device physics and its fabrication is a big plus.
• In-Depth understanding of FMEA techniques (e.g. delaying of devices/chips by wet etching or plasma etching and its data analysis) with good hands-on experience in using different analytical techniques (e.g. SIMS, XPS, AES, SEM, FIB-SEM, TEM, AFM, etc.)
