As one of the PIs in the Welcome Leap Dynamic Resilience Program (https://wellcomeleap.org/dr/), our team will develop novel biosensors and bioelectronics to capture and analyze digital dynamic resilience biomarkers, including metabolic biomarkers (e.g. Glucose) and inflammatory biomarkers (e.g., CRP). Particularly, we will develop AI-integrated wearable electronics technology with a new sensing mechanism for biochemical dynamic resilience biomarkers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary research project
• Design and conduct research in electrochemistry, sensors, printed electronics and flexible electronics research area
• Work with clinicians and physicians for human clinical study
• Prepare and draft manuscripts for high-impact journals

Qualifications

• Research experience in electrochemical-based biosensors. Particularly, a research background in wearable electrochemical sensors is advantageous.
• Obtained or expecting a PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering Material Science and Engineering or related fields
• A strong interest in bioelectronics, wearable electronics, electrochemical sensors, flexible electronics. Scientific curiosity and motivation to perform scientifically rigorous experimental work

Job Description

The position of Postdoctoral Fellow - with an emphasis on computational cancer genomics - is immediately available at the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore (a part of National University of Singapore). The Postdoctoral Fellow will work with the laboratories of Professor Ashok Venkitaraman, on a project studying the evolution of cancer genomes during early steps in carcinogenesis, with the long-term aim to develop better methods for early intervention.

This is an exciting opportunity to deploy expertise in computational biology in an active multidisciplinary environment, working closely with experimental cancer biologists to address major scientific problems.

The Postdoctoral Fellow will apply existing analytic pipelines and devise new algorithms to explore data derived from multiple DNA sequencing technologies (e.g., Illumina & Nanopore) to resolve cancer genome evolution at the clonal level. S/he will also analyse complementary data from other technologies, ranging from single-cell RNAseq to chromatin immunoprecipitation to chromatin accessibility (ATAC-seq), using a variety of novel cellular models established in Professor Venkitaraman’s laboratory. Experimental findings will be explored and validated using clinical genomic datasets.

Scientist for Advanced Photonics (Photonic Computing and Quantum Computing)

As part of IME’s Photonics & Sensors Department, the candidate will paticipate in various projects for the development of photonic computing, quantum photonics, or other photonic applications. This will include photonic circuit design, characterization, electro-optic integration, and verification of system functionalities. You will work closely with an excellent multidisciplinary team working on photonics, electronics, semiconductor process, integration, and fab operation.

Responsibilities:

• Design of photonic integrated circuits for advanced photonic applications, including but not limited to photonic computing, quantum photonics, etc.
• Development of optical testing platform for advanced photonic applications. This emphasizes on the application-specific testing with multi-channel in, multi-channel out.
• Development of electro-optic testing platform for advanced photonic applications. This focuses on the electro-optic integration and relevant high-speed control interface.
• Verification of electro-optic system functionalities. This emphasizes on the realization of targeted algorithm implemented on photonic integrated circuits, as well as data analysis, trouble-shooting and optimization.

The Microelectromultiphysical system (MEMS) team at Institute of Microelectronics (IME), Singapore is looking for a reconfigurable metasurface research scientist. The scientist will work with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development of metasurface-based technologies for terahertz wireless communication devices.

The job responsibilities will include:

• Designing terahertz metasurface for dynamic beam control for application in reconfigurable intelligent metasurfaces (6G RIS)
• Developing comprehensive electromagnetic simulation models of metasurface
• Developing analytical and equivalent circuit models of terahertz metasurfaces
• Developing the process flow for fabrication of terahertz metasurface by working with process integration team to ensure successful fabrication of devices.
• Specifying integrated circuit and packaging requirements for metasurface devices and communicating the requirements to the respective teams
• Building terahertz test setups and PCB circuits for characterizing reconfigurable metasurface devices

Job Requirements:
