The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (NTU EEE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow. The researchers will work on a joint research project between NTU and SP (Singapore Power) company to conduct the research on development of Risk based Asset Investment and Planning Optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop asset heath index for transformers, switchgears, and cables.

• Develop criticality index and risk matrix for power asset assessment.

• Develop optimization methods for asset renewal and replacement investment.

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or related subjects.

• Expert knowledge in power system modeling and simulation

• Research experience with power asset health modeling and data analytics.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Strong analytical and conceptual abilities.

• Able to work independently and in a team to realize proposed research work.

• Publication track record is an advantage

• Proficiency in basics of programming languages such as matlab and Python

Canalys is looking for a Research Analyst who will be a part of the Global Channels research team in Singapore and will be responsible for contributing to Canalys' channels analysis research. The individual must be data and results-oriented, hungry to drive the innovation within our services, implement ideas, and work with team members to drive commercial success. The individual will be part of a globally dispersed team, and must be able to manage working with colleagues and senior executives from around the world.

• Drive research and provide insights into channels to help vendors and channel partners develop their go-to-market strategies. 
• Supporting the Canalys channels research agenda and conducting primary research with vendors and channel partners to acquire market insights to support clients’ decision making.
• Creating and delivering research deliverables to clients (including presentations, reports, surveys etc.).
• Presenting research insights to senior level decision makers of clients’ regional or HQ teams.
• Developing client relationships and broadening research network.
• Contributing to global research engagements/projects, which including conducting research interviews.
• Supporting business development of projects.  
• Contribute to global research engagements/projects, which may include conducting research interviews, creating questionnaires, working with digital research tools.

• Manage and process expatriates monthly claims
• Manage and process expatriates new and renewal tenancy agreement
• Take care of office supplies and equipment
• Support office building facility maintenance including security system related matters
• Manage and process office insurance and other administrative related agreements
• Support office & mobile lines and related equipment maintenance
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as required

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in general office matters
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Well organized and work well as a team
• Japanese language skill is required as some of the work documents are written in Japanese
