We are looking for a highly motivated Research Assistant to join Associate Professor Xia Kelin's team at the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. The project focuses on integrating high-dimensional topological structures with advanced simplicial neural networks, and applying these methods to real-world data from dynamical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development and implementation of topological data analysis techniques such as simplicial neural networks, with application in real data sets from dynamical systems
• Perform data preprocessing, feature extraction, and analysis on large datasets
• Preparation of research papers, reports, and presentations to disseminate findings
• Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the overall progress of the project

Job Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics or related areas, with a strong background in topological data analysis (TDA) and machine learning on biomolecular data
• Experience with biomolecular data, particularly protein, DNA, and RNA data, knowledge of structural biology and protein modeling preferred
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
• Previous research experience and publication record in a related field preferred

Job Description

The NUS Centre for International Law (CIL) is inviting applications for a one-year Research Fellow position to contribute to the development and research of the International Dispute Resolution (IDR) programme. Candidates with experience in public international law, including in international tribunals such as the International Court of Justice, are encouraged to apply. The focus topic of the IDR programme is disputes involving States and includes issues related to alternative dispute resolution, international courts and tribunals and peace and security.

The duties of the incumbent will include:

• Conducting research and writing on current issues related to the resolution of disputes involving States;
• Contributing to the development of the IDR programme's research agenda;
• Publications in top tier peer-reviewed journals;
• Development and implementation of conferences, seminars, workshops, and trainings related to international dispute resolution.

The IDR Research Fellow can look forward to working in a small team with a short reporting line and interactions with practitioners in the field. We are looking for a Research Fellow (RF) to join a newly funded project led by A/P Yang Zhao(RG2/24, Ministry of Education). This position aims to fulfill the project’s objectives of advancing three-dimensional (3D) six-wave-mixing (6WM) spectroscopy for real-time molecular materials characterization. The appointed RF will play a pivotal role in developing computational simulations, theoretical methods, and practical protocols to extract photophysical and photochemical information from 6WM spectroscopy signals. This work will significantly contribute to MSE’s and NTU’s advancement in the field of energy materials and advanced sensor development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough literature review and generate periodic updates;
