A Senior/Principal Process Development Engineer is responsible for developing or overseeing the development of chemical processes including low carbon processes as well as monitoring, troubleshooting and optimizing processes in a pilot plant leading up to a technology transfer. He/she will perform process design, engineering and scale-up of in a Low-Carbon Technology Translational Testbed (LCT3) on Jurong Island leading up to a technology transfer. This role requires good understanding and knowledge of the underlying key process/chemical engineering and scientific principles of low carbon technologies and uses computer aided engineering tools such as simulators, process and plant engineering tools for process development and engineering. This individual thinks analytically to solve problems and improve existing methods and processes.

The Ocular Epidemiological Research Group at SERI conducts ophthalmic epidemiologic research in Singapore and Asia under the Singapore Epidemiology of Eye Diseases (SEED) programme collectively involving over 10,000 study subjects, with comprehensive clinical, image and genetic data. One of the projects including SEED data is ‘Diabetes studY in Nephropathy And other Microvascular cOmplications (DYNAMO-II)’. DYNAMO-II aims to determine the longitudinal relationship between retinal imaging parameters and long-term risk and progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and determine the predictive value of retinal vascular imaging measures in identifying patients at risk of CKD, and other adverse outcomes including renal failure, cardiovascular disease and deaths using both data-derived machine learning and retinal image-based “deep learning” algorithms with validation in different local and international cohorts. DYNAMO also includes a clinical cohort that recruits diabetic patients from clinics to predict the progression of CKD.

A Senior/Principal Process Development Engineer is responsible for developing or overseeing the development of chemical processes including low carbon processes as well as monitoring, troubleshooting and optimizing processes in a pilot plant leading up to a technology transfer. Project Title: Data and Theory Driven Artificial Intelligence to Boost the Science of Learning

Project Introduction: This project will leverage big data generated from online education platform approaches to build Science of Learning for effective education. The project will focus on: (1) current trends and advancements for the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Education, including Generative AI, (2) implementing experimental studies for teaching and learning for mathematics with AI in primary schools, and (3) publishing research findings for different stakeholders including researchers, policymakers and teachers.

Requirements:

• Academic qualification: a Master degree in Data Science, Psychology, Education, Social Sciences or related field. Candidates with a PhD may be considered for a Research Fellow position.
• Work experience: Preferably with experience in social science or education research
• Desirable interests, skills, and attributes:Learning analytics, conversational analysis and/or dialogical learning/pedagogy
  Expertise in educational technology
  Proactive, eager to learn and perform
  Good self-management skills for task structure and management to achieve given goals and objectives
  Experience in Artificial Intelligence and machine learning

Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Assoc. Prof. Han Vinh Huynh and Assoc. Prof. Utkur Mirsaidov on the exploration of methods for selective etching in the pursuit of improving the fabrication of interconnects in semiconductors. To achieve this a detailed understanding of the (redox) chemistry of various current etching methodologies is crucial. Synthetic skills and knowledge in molecular chemistry are advantageous. In addition, s/he will assist the PI in overseeing daily operations of the lab and training junior lab members.

Qualifications / Discipline:

- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Chemistry or Materials Science

Skills:
- Synthetic skills in organic and inorganic chemistry

Experience:
- Experience in molecular and surface science including hands-on experience in various analytical techniques (NMR, MS, TEM, SEM, XPS, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the team to build pipelines on Platform on data can be processed effectively

• Organize the database such that all clinical data are linked and easily retrieved - Build the pipelines for federated data sharing

• Data Analysis: Perform data analysis and visualization work to support research projects, grant applications, and publications

• Database Management - Manage the database used to host our clinical data to ensure that it is maintained operationally in a cost-effective manner

• Perform data cleaning, data standardization, and data structuring for data in the database
