The candidate is expected to do research on spin triplet generation and characterization by introducing an additional layer of a magnetic semiconductor into existing heterostructures to realize spin mixing.

We are looking for a motivated bioinformatics specialist who is keen on studying how microbes contribute to common skin diseases such as eczema and acne. Our lab is focused on leveraging new technologies to better study microbial populations and their impact on human health. We have extensive experience in metagenomic analysis in clinically or commercially important contexts such as uncovering distinct microbial communities in households affected by paediatric eczema (PMID: 35318044) and revealing the microbial basis of body odour in teenagers (PMID: 30497517). We are now focusing on applying various -omics capabilities to larger sized disease cohorts to understand how microbial pathways and biomarkers change with disease progression and treatment. The Centre on Asia and Globalisation (CAG) at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for the position of Visiting Senior Research Fellow. This visiting appointment seeks candidates with an established academic record and an international reputation in the fields of economic, social, and political issues on China-India relations.

The candidate will contribute to extending and enhancing CAG’s research on China-India relations, including re-establishing workshops and dialogues on China-India relations. The successful candidate will also be working with the Asia Research Institute of NUS to prepare an Encyclopedia of China-India relations since antiquity.

The candidate will conduct independent, in-depth, and publishable research on issues in his/her expertise and contribute to the Centre’s agenda on international relations in general, and China-India relations in particular.

The candidate is expected to initiate and organize research projects, workshops, conferences, and other research events. S/he should be able to reach out to publishers and actively engage with academia, policy practitioners, and media and business leaders, as well as apply for external grants.

In addition, s/he is expected to play a role in coordinating with other researchers and contribute to the broader intellectual life of the centre.

Delineating the underlying molecular mechanisms and visualizing these interactions, the objective is to identify specific targets and develop targeted therapeutics.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work on a couple of these projects, which involves 1. Design and development of an innovative strategy (RNAi-based) for therapeutic intervention of the target gene. 2. Evaluate the efficacy of the pharmaceutical composition by in-vitro assays, ex vivo and in vivo model systems.

Job Scope

Support Clinical Project Managers (CPMs) and study team with administrative, documentation, TMF, budget management and logistic activities related to Clinical studies during the operational phase of clinical trials to ensure the timely delivery of quality data while complying with internal Standard Operating Procedures, applicable laws and ICH Good Clinical Practice.

Job Description

The Global Centre for Asian Women’s Health (GloW) aims to build a global research platform for transdisciplinary endeavours to address major health concerns over a woman's lifespan and across generations. Through its main hub in Singapore, the Centre will engage in multi-disciplinary research to promote women’s health, including a series of diet and lifestyle intervention studies.

Purpose of the role

The project coordinator/manager will play a key role in dietary intervention studies by actively managing and coordinating diet and lifestyle intervention studies in GloW. Responsibilities include performing administrative duties to ensure the studies’ success and compliance. The staff will work closely with Principal Investigators of intervention studies, collaborate closely with the research team, food service team, and other relevant stakeholders, as well as undertake other ad-hoc responsibilities assigned by the Centre’s Director as needed.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The staff will hold a few key responsibilities, including

• Recruit and interview study participants for the intervention study
• Provide administrative leadership for the trial, ensuring compliance with regulatory, ethics and governance requirements
• Train research assistants/research associates for the conduct of the intervention studies
