Prof Mary Chan-Park and her team have recently won a highly competitive large grant on the design, synthesis and studies of the improved RNA delivery vehicles.

Prof Mary Chan-Park is currently the Centre Director of the Centre for RNA Delivery Therapeutics. She is also the current President Chair Professor of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (2024 onwards) and the 2019 Board of Trustees Chaired Professor of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering (2019-2024), both at the Nanyang Technological University Singapore (NTU Singapore). She also holds a joint appointment at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at NTU. She is the Director of the Centre for Antimicrobial Bioengineering and the Director of the NTU Laboratory for RNA Delivery Therapeutics. She is a Fellow of the America Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering.

The Research Fellow will take on a significant role to develop stimuli-responsive nanoparticle formulations. New alternative delivery vehicles for the promising RNA nanomedicine are urgently needed to replace the current ones to achieve great delivery efficacy with less side effects. We have shown that some polymeric or lipid nanoparticles are excellent candidates as delivery agents.

Who You Are

• You will need at least a postgraduate degree, preferably in data science, statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, machine learning or other data centric disciplines.
• You should have experience with statistical and analytical modeling and knowledge of analytic tools.
• You should be able to work with tools to clean, transform, manipulate, model and visualize large amounts of data.
• Strong programming experience with Python.
  • Familiarity with Python packages commonly used in a Data Science context, e.g., pandas, matplotlib, scikit-learn, PyTorch etc.
  • Proficient in various statistical methods and machine learning techniques, e.g., hypothesis testing, data cleaning, bootstrapping, random forests, clustering, deep learning, etc.
  • Strong visualization and communication skills to interpret and present technical results to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
• Good to have skills:
  • Knowledge of deploying machine learning models on-prem and on AWS or other cloud providers.
  • Experience working with Docker and tools such as docker-compose, Portainer, etc.
  • Knowledge of SQL, PySpark, a deep learning framework (e.g. PyTorch) and/or Django.
  • Basic Unix knowledge.

Singapore Pools was established by the Government on 23 May 1968 to provide safe and trusted betting to counter illegal gambling. Executive or Senior Executive, Colleges and Chapters

Location: Kim Keat Rd

Working days: 5 days (Mon - Fri)
Working time: 830am-6pm (Mon-Thurs) ; 830am - 530pm (Fri)
Salary: $3300 - $4200

Job Responsible:

• Provide secretariat and admin support for Colleges/Chapters organisational needs;
• Attend to meeting notices, agenda and minutes, and meeting logistics, including Council meetings and AGMs;
• Coordinate inputs and feedback on professional opinions;
• Assist in preparation and management of operating budgets;
• Administer requests for payments and invoices;
• Assist in production and distribution of promotional materials;
• Ensure currency and accuracy of information on website;
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations;
• Handle regular continuing medical education and continuing professional development programmes and activities;
• Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Requirement:

• Degree in Business Administration/Public Relations/Marketing Communication or equivalent;
• Preferably with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Administration and Secretariat support, preferably from the healthcare industry;
• Proficient in MS office;
• Able to work beyond office hours and on weekends/Public Holidays for meetings and events. (Time off given)
