1. Job Summary:

The lab works on translational research i.e. spanning cellular, murine and human TB research. Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Research Fellow will design and execute experiments in M. tuberculosis infection of mice, processing of samples, and associated readouts including flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, molecular biology including immunofluorescence. A*STAR Institute for Human Development and Potential (IHDP) is currently looking for an ambitious Research Officer to work on projects investigating obesogenic behaviours in early childhood.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide research and administrative support to new and ongoing studies and will:

• Analyse and present quantitative data from longitudinal cohorts
• Lead systematic and scoping reviews
• Lead data collection, management, analysis and day-to-day administration of new research projects
• Contribute to research publications, book chapters and reviews
• Contribute to the design of research materials
• Represent the research group at external meetings, either with other members of the group or alone

Job Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in the relevant disciplines (e.g. Psychology, Behavioral Science, Nutrition)
• Keen interest in the area of child development
• Proficient in the use of statistic software such as SPSS, R or others
• Experience with systematic and/or scoping reviews
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
• Strong interpersonal skills with enthusiastic demeanor
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience within an academic or healthcare setting is advantageous
• Experience of contributing to research publications is advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the team to build pipelines on Platform on data can be processed effectively

• Organize the database such that all clinical data are linked and easily retrieved - Build the pipelines for federated data sharing

• Data Analysis: Perform data analysis and visualization work to support research projects, grant applications, and publications

• Database Management - Manage the database used to host our clinical data to ensure that it is maintained operationally in a cost-effective manner

• Perform data cleaning, data standardization, and data structuring for data in the database

• Coding work required

Requirements:

• At least BSc in a relevant field (biology or bioinformatics or computational science)

• Possess an understanding of medical and clinical research terminology
