Job Description

The multidisciplinary team of researchers in health systems (health services and policy researchers, data scientists, social scientists, and others), and administrators working in CRiHSP will provide an exciting and dynamic place in which people of diverse backgrounds collaborate towards the common goal of achieving excellence in Health Systems Research. The team will further benefit from a significant expansion in related fields and collaborations with the Department of family Medicine at the National University Health System (NUHS), the new Centre for Sustainable Medicine (CoSM) and the Centre for Behavioural and Implementation Sciences Interventions (BISI) at the School of Medicine and the Saw See Hock School of Public Health.

NUS offers highly competitive remuneration packages. Purpose of the post

CRiHSP is hiring a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral researcher. The successful candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise in data science and applied statistical methods in health systems research. They will make a significant contribution to setting up and developing the centre at this crucial stage in relation to its research, training, and evaluation and engagement areas of activity. The successful candidate will report to the CRiHSP Director of Research. The role provides a rare opportunity to work at the centre of this rapidly evolving field, shaping the future of healthcare and clinical practice.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The responsibilities include:

• Establishing an independent research programme as aligned with CRiHSP priorities by securing external funding;
• Supervising of junior research staff in data collection, analysis and dissemination;

This project aims to automate the design of origami-based deployable building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) to mitigate the energy consumption of skyscrapers. Buildings worldwide account for a third of energy consumption, BIPV offers a sustainable solution, embedding solar panels into building exteriors. However, the complexity of BIPV installation and a lack of skilled professionals impede their broader adoption. To overcome the challenge in installation, we’re introducing deployable BIPVs and developing a dedicated design tool tailored for origami-based BIPVs on skyscrapers.

• Origami Pattern Design: To devise a comprehensive tool that facilitates the design of origami-based deployable BIPVs

The Division of Allergy & Immunology at the Department of Paediatrics, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS is looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic candidates with a keen interest in clinical translational research in vaccine immunology to join our team as a Research Fellow. We run cohort studies, observational studies and clinical trials in Paediatric Translational Vaccinology to understand the immune correlates of protection, and determinants of adaptive vaccine responses in children.

Appointments will be made on a one-year contract basis in the first instance, with the possibility of extension.

Purpose of the post

The Research Fellow will be responsible to, and collaborate with, the Principal Investigator and study team members to conduct various research projects in the field of Paediatric Vaccine Immunology to achieve high quality and impactful deliverables. Specific roles include design and conduct of immunological experiments, data analysis, engagement with external collaborators, and preparation of manuscripts as lead author and conference presentations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Research Fellow will be expected to conduct original research and contribute to the research activities of the group. The RF will be able to:

1. Independently design and optimize ELISA, flow cytometry and cell culture based immunological experiments
2. Conduct experiments to a high standard of accuracy and precision, and supervise research assistants to do the same
3. Select appropriate subjects for experiments based on clinical questions of interest to the Principal Investigator and research team
