Main Responsibilities:

Data Management & Forecasting:

Maintain up-to-date and accurate supply and demand (SnD) data for drybulk freight, reflecting current market conditions. Compile and update all relevant data and forecast components to anticipate market trends.

Market Analysis:

Stay informed on market trends, policies, and currency fluctuations affecting drybulk freight supply and demand. Transform this information into actionable market insights and adjust SnD outlooks accordingly.

Global Coordination:

Monitor global drybulk freight and demand.

Coordinate with team members to ensure accurate adjustments for specific products.

Communication & Reporting:

Effectively communicate key changes in drybulk freight supply and demand to commercial teams.

Synthesize and present insights to help stakeholders understand market dynamics and swing factors.

Quantitative Modeling:

Collaborate to enhance drybulk freight data analytics and processes.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Marine, Trade or related field of study

The lab of Computational Transcriptomics at the Genome Institute of Singapore (led by Dr Jonathan Göke) is offering a position for a postdoctoral fellow to develop methods for analyzing long read transcriptomics data. The successful candidate will lead software and methods development to analyze RNA modifications from nanopore direct RNA-Seq data.
