LTMI aims to develop local infrastructure and deep capabilities in the development of molecular imaging technologies for guiding the advancement and translation of new imaging biomarkers to guide novel therapeutics in viral infectious disease.

Prof Derek Hausenloy’s laboratory aims to discover new treatments for protecting the heart from acute ischaemia/reperfusion injury and for preventing heart failure.
