Its Centre for Health and Healthcare focuses on enhancing healthcare systems by scaling solutions for resilience, efficiency, and equity through diverse stakeholder engagement.

The Centre has launched the “Digital Healthcare Transformation (DHT) Initiative,” a multi-year program to boost public-private partnerships in digital health, data, and AI. This initiative complements the Global Health Equity Network (GHEN), which promotes health equity and patient-centred system transformation.

Singapore, a leader in healthcare delivery and equity due to its investment in digital health, will be highlighted as a World Economic Forum Centre for Health and a Healthcare Country Lighthouse. This collaboration aims to showcase Singapore’s healthcare success globally and identify opportunities for Public-Private Partnerships to advance health equity through digital transformation.

Job Description

The Fellowship role will manage projects and provide expertise on Health Equity, access to care, and social determinants of health. The Fellow will support the Forum’s work in developing Singapore as a Country Lighthouse, conduct research on its health system transformation, and share insights on health equity. He/She will also coordinate with regional working groups and engage with local and global partners, including the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) Network and the Accelerators Network, and contribute to the Forum's Health Equity strategy and broader global efforts.

The Health Equity effort in Singapore as well as the proposed pilot place-based change programme(s) will link to a broader global Global Health Equity strategy and pre-existing place-based change work (launching by the GHEN in 2024). This role is based in Singapore and hosted within the NUS Centre for Research in Health Systems Performance (CRiHSP). About The Role

Senior Analyst Fundamental Research Asia Pacific is an operational role and is part of the department Financial Markets Asia/Pacific.

This position is active in providing fundamental research on covered bonds and financial institutions for clients in the capital markets business in Asia/Pacific and Europe. It serves as the central contact for research topics in Asia/Pacific. Additionally, it develops research topics to meet the department's objectives and the objectives of LBBW Research, while maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders and between Asia Pacific and Head Office.

Main Tasks/Responsibilities

1) Fundamental Research Analyst for Financials/Covered Bonds

• Responsibility, ensuring coverage in terms of both quality and quantity and publication of Research on the following topics:

1. Covered Bonds in general and covered bond programmes of selected jurisdictions
2. Selected Financial Institutions
3. Research for primary market transactions

• Responsibility for regulatory issues related to covered bonds and financials.
• Responsibility and development of Covered Bond Research of LBBW Research
• Marketing and presentation of research results in Asia/Pacific and Head Office.

2) Multiplicator role for Research in Asia/Pacific

• Responsibility as the primary point of contact for research-related topics at the LBBW Singapore Branch; Leverage established networks: internally (e.g., Sales, DCM, LBBW AM in Head Office); externally (e.g., rating agencies, associations).
• Representing Research in Financial Markets Asia/Pacific externally and internally and in LBBW Head Office.
• Holding regular and ad-hoc meetings with relevant colleagues in Financial Markets Asia/Pacific and Head Office to coordinate research tasks
• Support function for research-related activities of DCM APAC
• Responsibility and development of research topics for the Asia Pacific client base in cooperation with the relevant reporting lines
• Support with Research to LBBW’s strategic Asia related initiatives

We are looking for a Research Fellow who will be based in School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) and will be expected to work effectively for developing innovative low-carbon soil improvement techniques. The position is expected to perform independent and collaborative research on the fundamental engineering properties of the biocemented soils.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting research on advanced laboratory soil testing and other related research work
• Producing project progress reports and papers with the quality matching high factor impact journals
• Assisting in the development of research proposals that could be funded externally.
• Collaborating with other team members on other research tasks in the Centre.

Job Requirements:

• PhD in geotechnical engineering or related discipline
• Expertise in advanced laboratory soil mechanics testing
• Knowledge in advanced soil mechanics, advanced soil testing and biocementation based ground improvement
• At least 2 years of relevant experiences in advanced soil mechanics and biocementation
• Familiarity with triaxial test, small strain hollow cylinder soil test and other soil engineering property laboratory test
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and develop solutions under strict timelines
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
