RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking a VP of Operations who will take full ownership of the company’s operational backbone and ensure alignment across teams. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Strategic Operational Leadership

• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with GyroGear’s goals, ensuring smooth, efficient, and scalable operations.
• Optimize day-to-day processes to meet timelines, mitigate risks, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor performance metrics and adjust workflows to keep operations on target and on time.

2. Building and Managing High-Performing Teams

• Hire, train, and lead a top-tier operations team, empowering them to excel in their roles.
• Foster a collaborative, results-driven environment, promoting accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
• Provide mentorship to team members, ensuring they grow professionally while meeting company objectives.

3. Project and Process Management

• Oversee cross-functional projects, ensuring flawless execution and alignment with overall business goals.
• Streamline workflows, standardize processes, and implement best practices for maximum efficiency.
• Monitor project milestones to guarantee deliverables remain on time and within scope.

4. Financial and Resource Management

• Manage the operational budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards.
• Analyze data to identify trends, forecast needs, and allocate resources strategically.
• Balance operational growth with financial responsibility.

5. Supply Chain and Quality Assurance

• Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory, and distribution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders to ensure seamless production and delivery.
• Champion unwavering quality standards, ensuring robust quality control measures and compliance with healthcare regulations.

6. Stakeholder and Executive Collaboration

• Serve as the operations advocate in executive leadership meetings, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Act as a liaison between teams, ensuring clear communication and synchronization across all departments.
• Represent GyroGear’s operations function externally when engaging with partners, suppliers, and stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a similar field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record scaling operations in a fast-growing healthcare or technology company (engineering background preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and lead teams to deliver results with efficiency and integrity.
• Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities to drive operational improvements.
• Strong expertise in supply chain management, quality assurance, and project execution.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma (a plus)
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards (ISO 13485, FDA, CE Mark advantageous)
• A hands-on leader with the passion and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Our client is one of Singapore's Leading Specialists for Buddhist funeral services and you will be responsible for managing funeral transfers and services, preparing monthly schedules for ground staff, and handling petty cash and vehicle-related matters. They work closely with all departments, oversee the Customer Service Team by assisting with phone duties and managing funeral parlours, and ensure the Operations Team adheres to company policies and processes. Additionally, they assist the Human Resources Team with talent recruitment and perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-4 years of management experience
• Comfortable working in the funeral industry
• Possess class 3 driver license
• Able to do shift work, and work on Public Holidays and Overtime
