Your Business Unit
Climate Positive
· Climate Positive represents TEM’s origination division and is responsible for sourcing, developing and managing carbon projects, with established project portfolios split between its domestic and international operations.
· Climate Positive’s origination pipeline is comprised of Australian Human Induced Regeneration HIR/IFM and environmental plantings, and International REDD+, Cookstoves and Blue Carbon projects located across APAC.
Your Team
You will be working alongside the Managing Director of TEM Asia Pacific, Senior Carbon Project Managers and Carbon Project Managers.
Reporting line
The role reports to the Managing Director of TEM Asia Pacific and is a member of the Climate Positive Team.
Purpose of role
To assist our Carbon Project Managers with specialist technical support and project management in the origination and implementation of carbon offset projects in Asia Pacific.
Your Responsibilities
· Assist with project management of carbon origination projects that are being developed by TEM, including preparing and managing Project Plans, budgets, and internal reports, to ensure project quality and timeliness
· Provide technical support in the identification, assessment, and implementation of carbon offset projects, including the preparation of due diligence and other technical assessment reports
· Provide support to the Project Management Team by assisting with quality assurance for technical reports that may be prepared internally for TEM or externally by consultants and other external parties
· To update and maintain key technical documents, including Project Design Documents, Validation and Monitoring Reports for carbon offset projects, ensuring a standard that is required for third party auditors and project registration/issuance entities such as Verra, Gold Standard, Climate Active and the CDM Executive Board
· To learn and understand up-to-date knowledge on project methodologies that are relevant to TEM and the policies and requirements of project registration and issuance entities
· Liaise with TEM staff to provide internal technical support as may be required
· Communicate with external parties

Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required.
Your Skills & Experience
· A degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Engineering or other relevant fields is an advantage
· A passion for climate change and a real desire to make a difference in this fieldector

· Excellent client liaison skills, business development and negotiating skills
· Highly organised, ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines, and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
· An understanding of carbon markets is considered an advantagey to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels

· This position may be offered as part of Workforce Singapore’s Career Trial Program or Career Conversion Program on a full time basis. The Career Trial will be for 3 months, with a view to a full time job offer at the end of the trial for a suitable candidate. $3000 - $5000 SGD per month upon completion of Career Trial.
