RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:

• The team at TNCA produces content for radio, TV and digital/social platforms.
• As a Senior Producer, you will be responsible for producing and overseeing the content for the radio and TV bulletins.
• Based on your experience, you would handle any of the specific roles on a given day: radio line producer; TV line producer or vetter.
• As a radio line producer, you would copytaste, write and compile the daily radio bulletins. As a TV line producer, you would oversee the production of the daily TV bulletin as well manage the team that produces this.
• As a vetter, you would be vetting the stories written by reporters and producers across all platforms.
• This role requires a seasoned journalist/producer who has a keen news sense and bilingual competency.
• You must uphold and maintain the expected standards pertaining to accuracy, objectivity and timelines.
• You must understand the role of Tamil News within the larger community.
• Connections with key personalities and newsmakers within the Indian/Tamil-speaking community are valuable assets for this position.
• You need to be a team player as your role requires close coordination with your newsroom colleagues as well as colleagues from other departments across Mediacorp.
• You may also be involved in projects and duties assigned by the Chief Editor.

Requirements:

• Good University Degree preferably in Mass Communication or related fields.
• At least 5-7 years of experience in a related field.
• Have a good command of Tamil, both written and spoken for business purpose.
• Have a strong interest in local and international news and current affairs.
• A dynamic individual who is a team player with good communications skill.

Summary

As the successful candidate, you will manage the Controlling Solutions team, which aims to facilitate financial and operational reporting for a variety of internal stakeholders via BI tools such as Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC). You will prioritise and coordinate the maintenance and development of compelling performance dashboards and ad-hoc reports, working closely with end-users and relevant IT teams. You play a pivotal part in preparing reporting packages and ad-hoc analysis to upper management. You and your team are highly involved in the Budget and Forecast process. You define priorities and objectives for your team in close collaboration with the Business Controlling & Analytics Director and assess performance and development of your team members.

What you'll do

• Manage a team of three Business Controllers who focus on building reporting dashboards and operational reports via OAC. Mentor and coach direct reports and wider Business Controlling & Analytics team
• Be a key custodian of the organisation’s KPI framework and manage the end-to-end flow of report requests enabling end-users across the organisation to make informed decisions with the right tools at the right time
• Work closely with end-users to collect and understand reporting requirements, and with IT teams to prepare data models and deliver compelling reports and dashboards
• Coordinate the preparation of financial figures for month-end reporting and con-tribute to the overall reporting package for upper management
• Contribute extensively to the Budget & Forecast process, notably by coordinating ETLs between the financial systems and reporting deliverables, supporting end users, and working closely with Business Controlling team
• Lead digitalization projects to standardize, simplify and/or automate processes and reporting
• Supervise maintenance of the cost centre structure in financial systems to align with changes in the business and reporting requirements
• Present analysis results to all levels in the organisation and train end users in BI tools
• Be an expert in systems used for reporting and budgeting purposes

What you'll receive

Job Summary

Responsible for the analysis and preparation of specifications and construction drawings, design documents for process and industrial plants in accordance with project specification schedule and customer requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for field instrument and control system design work.
• Able to lead small/medium size project within budgeted MH, cost and project schedule.
• Prepare and review field instruments, Analyzer, Control Systems (DCS, ESD, F&G etc) specification, requisition, TBE, vendor document review.
• Prepare construction drawings such as Location layout, hook-up, cable routing, loop diagram etc. based on project specifications.
• Generate specification requisition for various process instruments, evaluate and select suitable instruments for required process control/monitoring application.
• Preparation of technical proposals (e.g. TBE) and cost estimation for tender projects.
• Preparation Vendor’s Document Review, BMBQ, Man-hour estimation and related.
• Engineering Support at site, attend Field Instrument & Control Inspection, FAT at vendor’s workshop and SAT & Loop Check at site.
• Perform other functions that may be assigned by superior.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Instrument and Control Engineering.
• 8 years’ experience in instrument and control system design work.
• Knowledge and experience in Field Instrument Engineering as well as Control System, e.g. DCS, ESD, F&G.
• Able to work at construction site to support construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

Job Summary

Responsible for the execution of process design involving preparation of calculations and review of process design drawings in accordance to customer specifications, applicable codes, standards and other generally accepted practices in the design of industrial plants such as petrochemical and oil refineries.

Duties & Responsibilities

• To lead a process team to carry out process design engineering work in feasibility studies, Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and detail engineering design (Senior Role).
• To generate project specifications, design philosophy, PFDs, P&IDs, calculations, operation manuals to comply with clients’ requirement.
• To carry out process simulations and develop heat and material balances.
• To carry out process design for reactors, columns, drums, heat exchangers, tanks and develop respective process datasheets.
• To carry out hydraulic design for pumps, compressors, blowers and develop respective process datasheets.
• To conduct or attend P&ID design reviews, HAZOP, IPF, SIL studies, 3D model reviews.
• To check design outputs, datasheets and drawings prepared by Process Engineers to ensure accuracy and completeness to design requirements and concepts (Senior Role).
• To support the Construction Team during construction phase and carry out site checks.
• To support the Commissioning Team during plant or unit startup.
• To coordinate with Project Team and other Department Engineers to facilitate smooth progress of engineering work.
• To perform other functions that may be assigned by Department Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years’ of experience expected.

Skill Requirements

• Ability to use computer equipment and peripherals to carry out routine computing tasks.
• Good knowledge in PRO/II, HYSYS, HTRI, AUTOCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Possess good communication and technical skills.
• Strong leadership qualities and analytical and reasoning abilities.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical information, contracts reports, international codes and standards.
