What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like?

I. DAILY ACTIVITY FOLLOW UP

Ensure the management and optimization of Treasury activity for OUT currencies (33 currencies) on GEODE tool for Securities Services’ Businesses (12 Branches), over the Nostro accounts opened on Correspondent and ICSD’s books.

This process is coordinated with BNP SA Front Office, as well as with the Paris/Singapore and New York TFG Teams as per the Follow the Sun model.

Follow up on the update of Correspondent/ICSD’s conditions on Treasury’s reconciliation tool (RUBI) and ensure the correct reconciliation of Interest Scale.

Make sure that the activity is efficiently processed and associated risks are controlled accordingly. Ensure that the internal tools match the Business’ needs (coordinate any possible evolution along with the Change Management and IT teams).

Back up the team whenever is needed on daily activity.

II. BUSINESS BILLING/P&L FOLLOW UP

On a daily basis monitor the figures allowing to follow up the activity in order to establish an analytical billing at month end that will be charged to the Businesses.

Generate and justify the P&L reporting to the ALM.

Set up and Publish KPI’s.

III. TFG OPERATIONAL RISKS MANAGEMENT

Ensure the control of TFG Operational Risks through

- The update of the Operational Control Plans

- The update of the Accounting Control Plans

- The update of Procedures (XPACT)

- Ensure the completion of tasks in ORUS regarding the GCP and in COMBO regarding the daily activity follow up

IV. WORKSHOPS/MEETINGS WITH SINGAPOUR TFG AND NY TFG

Maintain a close relationship with Paris/ Singapore and NY TFG Teams, through monthly meetings in order to follow up and improve the processes in place.

As Global Process Owner, ensure the correct execution of the activity by the Follow the Sun teams, as well as the resolution of any possible conflict with the Correspondents/ICSD’s, along with the Regional Network Managers and locals ALMs.

V. TFG TEAM MANAGEMENT

Ensure an adequate staffing for any replacement as well as the training needed. Guarantee team cohesion throughout BNP Paribas’ values: Agility, Client Satisfaction, Open mindedness and Compliance Culture by embracing a collaborative spirit.

VI. FOLLOW UP OF TREASURY SUBJECTS WITH ALM AND NETWORK MANAGEMENT

Establish a good relationship with the Network Management, by participating to any Meeting/Committee which the goal is to improve the process in place or any conflict with the Correspondents/ICSD’s. Participate to any Correspondent’s migration and ensure that all the setups are in place for the good Treasury flows execution on Go Live date.

Along with the 2S ALM, follow up on Treasury subjects that could transversely impact 2S’s activity with 2S’s Businesses, Correspondents/ICSD’s and Central Treasury. Also participate in all the projects that could have a direct impact on Treasury Liquidity management.

VII. Environnement and Organisation

Service schedule is from 9.00 am to 6.30 pm CET, Monday to Friday (bank holidays are included except the 1st of January and the 25th of December).

You may participate to GEODE releases along with the IT teams (Weekends releases).

Homeworking is allowed in the different formulas and rhythms, but constraint to the activity specificities (mandatory to have a minimum of 3 persons always on site).

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Lead, supervise and guide a team of assistant credit analysis managers in the underwriting and assessing credit propositions and transactions submitted by Relationship Managers, to ensure compliance with the Bank’s credit policies and procedures, risk acceptance criteria where appropriate, and regulatory requirements.
• Appropriately assess key risks and mitigate when cases are proposed, protecting the franchise.
• Plan and manage team’s annual and/or loan reviews assigned.
• Participate in client calls with the Relationship/Credit team.
• To assist in the cultivation of talent within the Department.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

• Degree holder with a minimum of 5~8 years of relevant credit, risk or accounting experience, covering medium to large corporations of varied industries in both Singapore and regional countries
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Familiar with MS software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work well with others and independently, a team player, accountable and a positive work attitude are essential qualities.
• May deal with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and documents. Proficiency in English and Mandarin is essential

Direct Responsibilities

• Transversal BA / PM for the Program with focus on gathering requirements and preparing high level functional specifications
• Prepare, maintain and manage project plan, delivery coordination and governance
• Coordinating with other IT teams, front office, operations and finance stakeholders to ensure onboarding, capacity planning and securing the deliveries
• Test management for the front to finance chain
• Stakeholder management, running program governances, regular operational and working committees

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

• Ability to understand transversal architecture in a Capital Markets context
• Basic technical analysis skills on systems interfacing, identify gaps and propose resolutions Knowledge on Trade life cycle
• Ability to work with stakeholders across geographies
• Previous experience in working in Matrix organizations
• Understanding of Equity Derivative Products and Lifecycle events

Specific Qualifications (if required)

• Strong functional PM with Global Markets experience – Exposure to Equity Derivatives Trade Processing Systems implementation would be a key criteria
• Transversal front to back project implementation experience – Exposure of referential, trade booking, settlement, Reporting, Regulatory reporting, accounting, group reporting chains
• Minimum 5 Years of Business Analyst / Project Management Experience.
• PM experience with CXO level stakeholders as sponsors.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Premier Relationship Manager (Offshore).

Principal Responsibilities

• Maintain customer service excellence, greeting and serving our customers in line with Branch Service Protocol expectations
• Manage customer queries, issues, feedback and complaints with appropriate advice and in line with SLA expectations of Branch Service Protocol, Customer Complaints and other process SLAs as applicable
• Adopt a needs-based approach to provide recommended solutions/referral for retail banking and general insurance products to meet customer's financial needs
• Working closely with other members of the Wealth Management team, such as investment, insurance, treasury specialists to provide holistic solutions to our onshore banking premier clients
• Provide premier clients with regular market updates, endeavouring to understand our clients’ financial needs and recommending appropriate wealth management products accordingly
• Provide financial planning and advisory services aligning to clients’ needs and investment profile
• Embarking on a proactive relationship management to strengthen and deepen relationship with existing customers, hence building a strong foundation for customer growth
• Ensure coverage of all relationships through client’s engagement, risk profiling and financial planning
• Understand customers’ banking and financial needs and recommend suitable solutions to meet these needs
• Demonstrate strong ability to self-source, develop new business by actively prospecting for new clients and referrals, and leveraging your existing network to generate New to Bank leads
• Work closely and collaboratively with wealth corporate account manager to acquire EBS clients
• Fulfilling clients necessitates while providing an exceptional client experience is the expected behaviour from all our employees and it will be measured by specific metrics
• Respond to customers’ queries on home loan and other international banking needs and refer them to the right channels as appropriate
• Ensure data entry and operational transactions are executed expeditiously, with minimal errors and in compliance with audit and statutory guidelines

• Ensure that KYC/AML and other compliance norms are strictly adhere to
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding the bank, its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules & regulations adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Customers /Stakeholders

• Take ownership for the customer’s purpose of visit to HSBC and deliver an effective solution
• Maintain highest standard of excellence in client service in line with Branch Service Protocol expectations
• Meet SLAs for all processes where applicable
• Improve customer experience by collating customer feedback, identifying deficiencies in any area e.g. Operational, administrative, processes and competitiveness of products and services vis-à-vis the market
• Improve customer experience in processes, systems, operations and administration without comprising on business risks by giving suggestions and feedback
• Enhance competitiveness of products and services to relevant product teams by giving suggestions and feedback

Business Processes

• Ensure that sales & operations are undertaken in accordance with HSBC Bank plc FIM, BIM and Credit Policy Manual appropriate lending guidelines
• Manage operational risk, by using relevant MI to identify risk situations and take any appropriate action to minimise loss

Qualifications

• The successful candidate has strong academic qualifications and over 1 years of work experience in Wealth Management with a proven track record of managing clients’ portfolio for Offshore clients
• Strong understanding of financial markets and investment products
• Strong interpersonal relationship skills to be able to work individually as well as to collaborate with stakeholders to meet the needs of these clients
• Highly driven and possess the ability to succeed within a challenging environment
• Outgoing disposition, well-equipped with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Down to earth and resilient individual with an entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset who is able to work independently and in a strong team environment
