RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish and maintain a prominent profile with clients/intermediaries
• Develop new and existing sales opportunities to meet growth targets
• Ensure risks are accepted and underwritten in accordance with the Company's Risk Management and Reinsurance guidelines
• Undertake credit control ensuring the standard for debtor days are strictly adhered to
• Provide a technical reference point for queries
• Carry out quality assurance checks and assist in training of less experienced staff
• Guide team members in technical aspects of business
• Ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness in work processes within the department
• Assist Senior Vice President/ Head Of Department, Assistant Vice President and Manager in managing Agencies Business Unit to achieve desired plan
• Undertake any other duties as may be assigned

• Tertiary qualification, preferably with a professional insurance qualification e.g. ACII
• Minimum Certificate in General Insurance

• Operational experience in general insurance environment
• Business development, marketing and presentation skills
• Sound knowledge in underwriting, reinsurance and risk management
• Good communications/ negotiation skills
• Relationship building

Research:

• Preparing market and industry research reports highlighting key issues, trends and outlook as advised by the senior team
• Undertake research on special projects or sector to identify business opportunities including Potential Clients for the various products at Avista
• Track identified companies/sectors on a regular basis for key events and announcements
• Prepare and circulate newsletters/reports relating to the research on a monthly basis
• Provide the industry related inputs for the creation of transaction materials
• Conduct detailed industry analysis and develop firm Industry knowledge of one or more sectors

Transaction Execution: Provide execution support to the senior team

• Assist in the preparation of company valuations, financial models, company marketing documents and client presentations
• Research background material and provide inputs for the preparation of key transaction documents:
• Client profiles
• Information Memorandums, Pitch Books and Teaser documents.
• Management presentations
• Work with the senior team on the financial model and analysis including:
• DCF analysis
• Valuation of companies based on comparable company analysis
• Precedent transaction analysis

Administrative: Provide administrative support to the deal team

• Responsible for all client files – hard copy and soft versions to be maintained and kept up to date and backed up on the server.
• Ensure that deal critical documents like NDA’s, Mandate letter etc. are stored correctly in hard and softcopy and backed up on server
• Set up and send out meeting and conference call requests
• Ensure that the closed deal process is followed (necessary client communication, preparation of tombstones, website updation, preparation of case study etc.)
• Regular document archiving , filing and appropriate destruction
• Creating and updating company databases in a timely manner
• Assisting the senior team in drafting client engagement letters
• Maintain client relationships by managing day to day inquires & obtaining appropriate information to execute assignments

Knowledge

• Knowledge of Investment Banking products like Term debt raising, working capital financing, project finance, structured products, M&A etc.
• Excellent industry analysis, financial analysis and modelling skills, including DCF, SOTP, Relative valuation, etc.
• Expertise in MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc
• Ability to conduct web based research, as well as use of data bases like Capital IQ, Bloomberg etc.

There is more than 1 position available for this role. These are permanent roles with A1 Main Contractor. QS for Structural works and QS for Architectural works.

Responsibilities:

- Preparation of RFQ’s
- Source for quotation for materials and service
- Analysis and evaluation of price comparison and costing summary
- Cost planning, estimation and measurement of quantities
- Responsible for claims, variation orders, budget & cost control
- Prepare settlement for final account
- Manage Contracts administration
- Handle issues including extension of time, terms and condition, loss and expenses claim etc.
Requirements:

A Bachelor’s Degree in QS or Engineering.
At least 8-10 years of QS experience in the construction of Civil or Building projects (For senior role)
Good knowledge of Quantity Surveying and Contracts Administration.
Good time management skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage particular tasks in charge.
