- Support Centre Leads in planning and execution of education and training activities of the centre, such as the ACHS webinar series, ACHS fellowship program, workshops on biosafety and health security law attended by local and international guests.
- The responsibilities would include event planning; liaising with vendors; creation of templates and forms; registration; liaising with participants and logistics arrangements including venue, travel and room bookings; and on the ground support for public seminars, workshops held in person and online

c) Collaboration & Partnership
- Liaise and work closely with local, regional and international partners and collaborators, this includes providing support for policy roundtables and panel discussions and the building a network of experienced experts in health security

d) Provide secretariat support for the centre (Faculty Meetings, International Advisory Panel), this includes arranging of meetings, preparation of slides, notes of meeting, communication and dissemination of information, and collation of reports

e) Work closely with other offices in the school, e.g. finance, HR, IT and GHO and university, e.g. OLA, ODPRT, CPO to take forward all administrative tasks, including discussion, collaboration and problem-solving on complex situations

f) Other duties assigned by the Director or Head, Operations

Qualifications

• Applicants are expected to have at least a Bachelor degree from a recognised institution with at least five years of experience in an administrative position within the academic, research or healthcare sector
• Strong administrative skills and experience in supporting projects such as convening meetings, organise training and workshops, service contracts, financial administration, or equivalent experience
• Experience organising events, in-person and online is a requirement
• Excellent written and oral communciation skills, with the ability to summarise content, prepare slides, reports and content
• A good team player who is self-motivated, well organised and with the ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
• Effective at problem-solving, able to take initiative to learn on the job and manage various responsibilities.
• IT systems savy and proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
• Knowledge of NUS processes and systems is an advantage
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, and ability to interact effectively with all levels of associates, including senior leadership

Job Description

Our Deal Advisory professionals help buyers, sellers, private equity investors, governments, and lenders in developing and executing on their value strategies. The Transaction Services team focuses on due diligence (financial and commercial) deal strategy assistance in relation to acquisitions, disposals, public bids/mergers, joint ventures, buy-outs, market entries, financing and other transactions. The team also helps clients identify upside opportunities and risks in their transaction processes to satisfy the due diligence requirements of underwriting banks.

As Associate/Senior Associate/Assistant Manager in Transaction Services - Deal Strategy, you are a motivated self-starter with expertise in finance, strategy, research and business operations, with focus on deal strategy and commercial due diligence in a deal environment.

Responsibilities

• Working in multi-disciplinary teams, you will apply your professional and technical skills on a wide variety of transactions and at different stages of the transaction process
• Evaluate markets, assess market size, growth, segmentation and overall attractiveness, customer interviewing, and assess strengths and weaknesses of market participants
• Work on broader deal strategy and market entry/growth advice, including M&A target identification and deal hypothesis development
• Undertake day to day client or target interactions to manage data flows and support overall project management of projects
• Assist clients with building detailed business models including market forecasts, competitor share forecasts, evaluating synergy and cost saving opportunities, and product/service improvements
• Deliver deeper insights to our clients, using third-party data analytics tools
• Participate in KPMG’s engagement teams with senior client executives, attorneys, and investors
• Draft detailed professional reports and assist in preparing pitch documents e.g. proposals and presentations
• Perform financial analysis, review on target projects and formulate deal rationale and strategy
• Apply standard Customer Due Diligence (CDD) techniques and methods in analysis

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in strategy, commercial due diligence, or consulting experience
• Bachelor Degree in Business, Numerate or Analytical disciplines such as Mathematics, Economics, and Accounting, or the equivalent preferred
• Sector experience in any of the following areas preferred: Financial Services, Healthcare, Transportation, Energy, Consumer & Retail, ICT
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel (other data analytics tools/languages will be highly regarded)
• Financial and commercial awareness with strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Deep expertise and ability to add sector insights into client deliverables and proposals
• Curiosity, healthy skepticism, creativity, and attention to detail; with ability to lead more junior associates
• Experience in leading due diligence and strategy projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly motivated and able to learn and succeed in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness and ability to travel as required
• Regional experience in South East Asia would be an added advantage
