Main Purpose of Job

• Supervise the technology and engineering related to the overall manufacturing process.
• Lead the assessment, implementation, development and improvement of individual unit processes.
• Supervise engineering work for production support activity for chemical manufacturing for productivity and yield improvement, cost reduction, improvement testing/ problem-solving testing.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Participate in the design of business planning and factory operations planning and execution based on business project

• Establish Production design instructions and adjustments of manufacturing schedule based on factory operation plan and received orders

• Review vendor contracts, negotiate terms, conditions and pricing for single and multi-build products

• Provide coaching and support to develop the knowledge and skills of all production personnel

• Make decisions on key estimates and factory projects

Facility Management

• Overall in charge of plant facilities operations including equipment installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, EHS in compliance with relevant regulations and authorities

• Ensure smooth production and operations in the plant to meet production targets and customer delivery timelines

Education

• Degree in Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, or relevant qualifications

Experience

• 10-15 years’ experience in the management position in chemical / biomedical / pharmaceutical industry

• Proficient in English. Ability to speak in Japanese is an advantage

Summary of Job Responsibilities

Acting as MBS’s representative within the contractual terms applicable, this role is to direct, co-ordinate and supervise assigned projects with the Project Team. The Project Manager will oversee and provide day-to-day direction for a team of Consultants, Contractors, and Assistant Project Managers.
