About the Role

You will be working in Division of Medical Oncology, Cancer Genetic Service and be part of a dynamic team to provide pre and post genetic testing counselling for patients referred for hereditary cancer syndromes.

Responsibilities

• Assess a family history to explain for possible hereditary syndromes, use validated risk models to calculate and provide advice in cancer risks, explanation on hereditary conditions and subsequent appropriate risk management during pre- counselling.
• Assist patients to understand and manage pre-test concerns such as ethical, social and legal implications of genetic tests

The Centre for Population Health Research and Implementation (CPHRI) is a centralised platform for population health research, innovation, implementation and evaluation activities in SingHealth. The Associate / Research Coordinator shall assist the Principal Investigator with collection of clinical data and data management for lymphoma research. They will also help implement and coordinate research projects and its activities. These activities may include screening, recruitment, incident event reporting, data entry, biological specimen collection and processing, maintenance of site files and research participants’ follow up.

Purpose of Position

The individual in this position reports to the HOD and contributes to the administration of the programme. The Laboratory of Applied Human Genetics at the National Cancer Centre Singapore is a multi-disciplinary laboratory with specific focus on peritoneal malignancies and sarcoma. The direction of our laboratory is to solve real world clinical problems via sound scientific translation. Since the conception of our laboratory 7 years ago, we have now set up three scientific pillars of Therapeutics, Companion Diagnostic and CAPTIVATE (Target Generation) pipeline. Currently, we are working towards a first-in-human therapeutic developed in our laboratory. We are looking for an innovative, enthusiastic and highly motivated Research Fellow to work with a team of researchers in the area of cancer therapy for advanced metastatic cancers. Interested applicants should have an extensive molecular biology experience to uncover the MOA/structure of our therapeutic using cellular signaling, cell biology or protein structure approaches and possess the desire to translate basic science to make a clinical impact. Previous work with genomic / CRISPR / proteomic screens (or similar) to understand the molecular biology of key oncogenic drivers will be an added advantage.

Asian Thoracic Oncology Research Group (ATORG) is the coordinating platform for translational research for thoracic malignancies in Asia. Its mission is to advance medical knowledge of lung cancer and improve health outcomes of patients through clinical studies and scientific events.

Asia Pacific Oncology Drug Development Consortium (APODDC) was formed to foster education and collaboration between key stakeholders of cancer drug development within the Asia Pacific region, thereby improving treatment access to patients. ATORG and APODDC operate centrally under the Clinical Trials and Epidemiological Sciences (CTE) division in National Cancer Centre Singapore.

The Senior / Executive will mainly organise events for ATORG and APODDC . The ACRC has to ensure that trial- related work is conducted and recorded in accordance with the protocol, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines, all applicable regulatory requirements and the Clinical Trials Office Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as well as instructions from her superiors.

You will support and assist in the following trial related activities:

• Take over trials that have completed treatment phase or trials that involve few simple procedures.
• Data collection and management including resolving data discrepancies, tracking of trial expenditures and timely invoicing (where applicable), etc.
• Administering quality of life questionnaires or any other surveys as and when required.
• Performing trial procedures which include taking and recording patients’vital signs performing ECGs; collecting data; other trial-related procedures.
• Collection and delivery of biological specimens eg blood, urine and tissues whenever necessary.
• Inventory of study materials such as laboratory kits, patient diaries and case report forms to ensure adequate supplies are maintained to conduct the trials.
• Collection of medical records or duplicate radio-diagnostic films and ensuring that the items are collected in accordance with specific request forms.
• Managing the Clinical Trials Office’s Medical Records Trolley and the transportation of medical notes in the Trolley between Medical Records Office and the Clinical Trials Office. The ACRC shall also assist other CTO staff to obtain medical notes and other source documents.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Life Sciences/Nursing
• Proficient at performing venepuncture for blood specimen collection
• 2 years of related working experience an advantage
• Knowledge in cannulation would be an added advantage
• Good time-management and communication skills
• Able to work independently and detailed oriented
• Computer literate

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for driving and executing the construction of buildings and infrastructure.
• Supported by project managers and his/her team collaborates with various stakeholders including architects, engineers, and contractors to make sure that the construction runs smoothly.
• Oversees the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects by relevant building regulations and standards.
• Schedules the construction timelines, coordinates work between various departments, conducts site meetings, and carries out inspections on the building works.
• Chair meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, technical experts, etc. to resolve any design/budget/technical issues that might derail the project delivery.
• Coordinate building inspections by relevant authorities.
• Direct all site activities of site staff, contractors suppliers, etc., and manage the communication between different groups to ensure timely response to project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations and safety measures.
• Manage and deliver projects within the project timeline and budget, as well as the framework of risk and environmental considerations.
• Manage budgets of construction projects.
• Manage work delivery and resources based on resource allocation and project schedules.
• Review construction progress and address the needs of the stakeholders at various stages of the project.
• Work with design teams to review design solutions and ensure they meet the project budget and timeline.
• Lead and oversees project execution, monitor site progress, and ensure on-time completion of the project

• Liaise closely with subcontractors, architects, consultants, and authorities; set guidelines and provide expertise and supervision to the team.
• Project management, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects.
• Oversee the planning, analysis, and recommendations in support of project construction planning, implementation, and monitoring work schedules following the master and detailed work program.
• Liaise with consultants for technical issues and coordinate with subcontractors on the site activities.
• Assist in developing and implementing corporate construction policies that support project construction.
• Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management regularly (monthly/bimonthly)
• Prepare and submit monthly, weekly, and daily progress reports to internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead the planning, execution, and closure of construction projects, ensuring they meet safety, quality, timeliness, and budgetary/financial requirements.
• Provide direction and mentorship to senior/project managers, and project, WSH teams, fostering a collaborative, productive, safe, and high-performance work environment.
• Foster harmonious, positive, and sustainable client, internal and external stakeholders (e.g consultants, government agencies, public, subcontractors, etc) relationships and ensure their expectations, needs, and requirements are met and constantly throughout the whole project life cycle
• Provide technical expertise to the project team throughout the project life cycle to achieve synergy, savings, and productivity.

Job Requirement:

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Must have more than 20 years of experience in Civil/Structural Engineering works
• Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills and strong analytical skills in bilingual
• Equipped with leadership skills in which able to lead the engineers in completing the jobs.
• Able to work 6 days per week at the Site office.
• Experienced in the construction of high-rise buildings of at least 100m high, with deep basement structures.
• Possess excellent leadership, planning, good management skills, interpersonal communication, and negotiation skills to lead a team of engineers and contractors while liaising with peers and colleagues from various departments. Possess the mental and physical stamina to take on numerous challenging tasks while simultaneously meeting high standards and deadlines/vision.
