Job Scope:

• Commercial software engineering: Have strong professional software development experience in multiple programming languages, including modern virtual-machine languages such as Java, as well as common scripting and glue languages such as Python and version control (git), with good analytical & debugging skills.
• Experience performing root-cause analysis on bugs and performance problems in distributed systems, including network and source-level debugging
• Big data: You have extensive experience with data analytics and working knowledge of big data infrastructure such as Google Cloud, Big Query, Data Flow, Hadoop Eco System, HDFS, Apache Storm, Apache Spark
• You've routinely built data pipelines with gigabytes/terabytes of data and understand the challenges of manipulating such large datasets
• Cloud Exposure: Strong experience implementing systems and applications using distributed and cloud infrastructure. GCP preferred, but AWS or Azure are also okay
• Data Modeling: Flair for data, schema, data model, PL/SQL, Star & snowflake schema, how to bring efficiency in data modeling for efficient querying data for analysis, understands criticality TDD and develops data validation techniques
• Working knowledge of distributed relational and tabular data stores, message queues, stream processing facilities, and other scalable big-data platform technologies

Job Responsiblities:

• Collect daily job notifications from the Board’s officers at the start of each work day.
• Carry out site survey at customer’s premises in advance of actual meter fixing/removal/replacement works to assess site conditions (for example, no obstruction to meters, valves on water mains are as per plans).
• Site survey before meter fixing/removal/replacement job, supervision of contractor’s work
• Check and record initial readings on new meters and final readings on old meters, including photographic records
• Service Includes taking records of works in progress/completed, ensuring work procedures and safety measures are carried out as specified, reporting any incident promptly, maintaining close contact with PUB officers, managing and tracking the movement of meters including related fittings, supervision of metering works as directed and in accordance with daily check sheets.
• Carrying out site visit to check on the meter condition, interviewing customers to establish the facts, taking additional meter readings on site for analysis.

Requirements:

• Recognized Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Environmental Engineering
• Proficient with CADWorx or AutoCAD
• Preferably 3 years relevant working experience in similar industry
• Able to work with all levels of workforce

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skill

1. Ensure safe work procedures and environmental control measures are implemented at the work site.

2. Planning and coordinating trenchless method pipe laying and open–cut works.

3. Participate in pre-project activities such as estimation of project efforts, preparation of high-level project plan with project timeline and resource requirements, and staffing and organisation of project team.

4. Plan, coordinate and communicate project plan, timeline and activities to the project team. Liaise with all agencies and authorities to facilitate work progress such as LTA, PSM, SLA, HDB, SPPG, SP Group and N parks and all the telecommunication authorities

5. Responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical and management aspects of the project.

6. Assist with Project Manager for Manage and coordinate project deliverables, ensuring their quality and configuration management.

7. Assist with Project Manager to maintain project issue register to keep close match of the project issues till their resolution.

8. Assist with Project Manager for Manage performance of the project team, guide the project team in resolving issues, and resolve conflicts within the project team.

9. Assist with Project Manager for Manage customer’s expectation by understanding customers’ needs and providing realistic expectations and scope of the projects.

10. Work closely with 3rd-parties involved in projects.

11. Verify the As-built drawings & claim documents

As the Cost Engineer / Manager within Supply Chain team, you will have a significant contribution to increasing the speed at which engineering can innovate. Your work will have a direct impact on our ability to scale prototype concepts and builds while continuing to innovate our products and processes.

About the role

• Analyze quotes of Capital Equipment, tooling, equipment R&M and all spare parts, provide transparency and analytics on cost movements.
• Work with procurement team to evaluation quotation from multiple vendors on capital production equipment and provide insights on scope vs cost.
• Should – cost analysis based on equipment specification and design.
• Provide cost estimation on new products throughout engineering milestones.
• Enhance total cost management process and digitalization.

About you

• A degree in Engineering with strong experiences in delivering green field/ brown field manufacturing projects.
• In-depth knowledge and proven track record in cost analytics.
• In-depth knowledge on manufacturing equipment costs – understanding of cost structure and margin structure of equipment supplier is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in costing big (>100m CAPEX projects) and novel production equipment is an advantage.
