In this role, you will be primarily responsible for assisting in designing, planning, and coordinating geotechnical instrumentation projects, scheduling control, obtaining permits for on-site installation, and setting up and commissioning monitoring

This will be a site based position in Singapore

Core Responsibilities

• Propose engineering documents for clients' approval, on-site installation and hands-on monitoring of sensors, instruments, and equipment
• Instruct supervise, manage, and monitor site personnel ensuring data processing, review , analysis, submission of reports
• Attending project meetings, schedule control, submit for permits for on-site installation, set up, and commission monitoring
• Assist in designing, planning, and coordinating geotechnical instrumentation projects, scheduling control, obtaining permits for on-site installation,and setting up and commissioning monitoring, providing input into health, safety, environmental and quality policies ensuring uptodate documentation
• Liaise and coordinate with client for installation and monitoring issues while overseeing all instrumentation works including production of method statements, project quality plan, calibration, installation, data acquisition, data verification, data processing, web database, data presentation, update of instrumentation drawings and reporting
• Shall be responsible for preparing all necessary reports as specified in the contract’s documents and client submission

Skills / Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology recognised by the PE Board along with 3 years relevant experience in major infrastructure projects
• Working experience in geotechnical instrumentation and site investigation works
• Physically fit and able to withstand the challenging working conditions
• Strong and determined quality focus with indefatigable determination to get the job done under the most challenging conditions
• Self-motivated team player with excellent organisational and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to engage with clients regarding all operational tasks and projects.
• Supervise and ensure that maintenance programs and rectification tasks are efficiently managed by a team of technical officers and technicians.
• Oversee and coordinate maintenance activities for various Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) systems, including chiller systems, chilled water systems, direct expansion (DX) systems, mechanical ventilation systems, clean room systems, and building management systems.
• Develop comprehensive plans for the installation, maintenance, and operation of ACMV systems.
• Provide guidance and lead technical investigations for rectification works, ensuring effective resolution of issues.
• Ensure daily air conditioning thermal comfort levels are maintained within acceptable limits according to established codes of practice.
• Monitor and report on maintenance work progress, follow up on action items, and maintain thorough maintenance checklists and schedules.
• Innovate and implement improvements to operational processes aimed at enhancing efficiency and promoting energy conservation.
• Work collaboratively with owners, users, consultants, vendors, and contractors to provide feasible solutions that meet engineering functional requirements and ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Conduct regular inspections of existing air-conditioning systems to verify that all maintenance programs are effectively implemented in strict adherence to guidelines and Provide technical specifications for ACMV system upgrades or renovation projects as needed.
• Stay informed about local codes of practice, including ASHRAE standards, to ensure compliance in all operations.
• Ensure that all work is carried out safely and in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Coordinate with contractors for rectification and ad-hoc works, ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently.
• Investigate, analyze, and determine root causes of breakdowns and faults, reporting findings effectively.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and proposals regarding breakdowns and maintenance activities.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, or industrial).
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in ACMV (Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation) systems, facilities management, or project management.
• Proficient in guiding and troubleshooting ACMV faults, with a solid understanding of construction principles and building processes.
• Thorough understanding of building regulations and health and safety protocols.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with non-engineering team members.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, disciplined, and well-organized, with a strong safety mindset and a commitment to exemplary workplace safety and health (WSH) practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of troubleshooting on-site issues effectively.
• Familiarity with project management principles and practices.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Mechanical & Electrical systems which include electrical, drainage or fire protection
• Manage facility operation by implementing preventive and corrective maintenance work
• Provide advisory and recommendation on corrective measures to be taken from maintenance work
• Oversee, manage, and provide technical guidance to a team of technical officer and technician on facilities maintenance
• Ensure all work are carried out in accordance with the safety regulation and procedure
• Investigate and determine root cause of faults and report

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering / Facility Management or discipline with minimum 3 years’ experience; or Diploma/ NITEC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/ Facility Management discipline with minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Possess strong knowledge in M&E maintenance
• Possess Fire Safety Manager certificate will be an added advantage

Experience working in agile teams – TDD, Pair programming, Scrum, XP
Familiar with both Windows and UNIX/Linux servers, Design Patterns, Unit Testing
