Assist in the planning stages by providing technical input on the feasibility, safety, and environmental considerations of the Demolition and Land Reinstatement.

Coordinate with various stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure project alignment.

• Supervise all on-site activities related to demolition and reinstatement, ensuring compliance with the project plan, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure that all work is executed as per the design and specifications.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of all site personnel.
  Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and safety plans provided by Contractors.
• Ensure that the materials and the workmanship meet the required standards and specifications.
• Address any non-compliance issues by directing corrective actions and overseeing their implementation.
• Maintain detailed records of the project’s progress, including daily logs, material delivery notes, and site reports.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the project manager and client, highlighting any issues, delays, or deviations from the plan Provide on-the-spot solutions to technical challenges that arise during the demolition or reinstatement process.
• Liaise with design engineers and other experts to resolve complex technical issues.
• Oversee the final inspection and testing of the reinstated plant facilities to ensure they meet tender requirements.
• Manage the handover process to the authorities, including the provision of asbuilt drawings, operation manuals

Requirements:

• Good graduate Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering, preferably recognised by the PE Board, Singapore.
• Minimum 10 years of construction experience in supervising civil and structural works in water/used water treatment works.
• Registered with IES as Resident Engineer (Civil).
• A person with good communication and leadership skills

Role Responsibilities

• Review of EPC engineering submissions for compliance with specifications, standards and contractual requirements.
• Participate in workshops, engineering reviews, other safety and quality activities including and not limited to HAZOP, DfS, 3D reviews and other meetings.
• As part of the site team representing the Owner, to inspect and witness the quality of installation and testing of the equipment per the contract.
• Attend local or overseas Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) as witness either on behalf of Owner or in concurrence with Owner per contract requirement.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to assure the quality of the Electrical deliverables in conjunction with other works such as the civil structure requirements, mechanical systems and overall project deliverables.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure the timely delivery of the project where the electrical works may affect the schedule.
• Work as part of the site team to ensure the seamless coordination with Owner (including existing operations team) to deliver works requiring permits and access to existing sites.
• Conduct Electrical services site survey
• Assist Project Manager in up-keeping the project ISO quality documentation and records.
• Senior engineers must be able to lead projects and supervise a team of engineers / technicians.

Experience / Skills

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5 - 8 years of hands-on design and commissioning experience in Energy/Infrastructure/Building projects
• Familiar with local code and authority submission procedure.
• Preferably with experience in tender document preparation, bids evaluation and due diligence studies
• Team player and able to work independent with minimal supervision

The Role:

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment, systems, and infrastructure to ensure smooth operation.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions on production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Repair or replace damaged components in machinery and ensure all equipment is working properly after repairs.
• Assist in the installation and setup of new machines, including testing, calibrating, and adjusting equipment for optimal performance.
• Follow safety procedures and regulatory guidelines while performing maintenance work and ensure that all maintenance activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, inspections, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Work closely with production teams to plan and execute maintenance activities that align with production schedules, minimizing disruptions.
• Suggest and implement improvements to maintenance procedures and equipment to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

What Do You Need to Have?

• Candidates MUST possess at least a Diploma or ITE in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent.
• He/she must possess a minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in electrical engineering works troubleshooting machineries, ships, trains, building facilities, etc.
• Positive working attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
