• Seeking a skilled PLC Engineer for a challenging role.
• Provide technical expertise and innovative solutions to support Production and ICEA teams.
• Regularly update stakeholders on the progress of PLC tasks aligned with site objectives.
• Maintain records of site shutdowns and production losses caused by PLC systems.
• Collaborate closely with Production teams to optimize PLC maintenance costs and enhance system performance.
• Develop comprehensive maintenance procedures for various plant equipment, including electrical, instruments, DCIS, F&G, ESD, metering, sampling, and analysis.
• Ensure compliance and certification of PLCs for safe use in hazardous areas.
• Offer maintenance support and troubleshoot PLC logic/hardware issues.
• Proactively manage PLC lifecycle to prevent obsolescence.
• Play a crucial role in emergency response, conduct feasibility studies, and ensure cybersecurity adherence in the OT environment.

Requirements:

• Min Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or any relevant field.
• Min 3 years of experience in PLC Siemens S7 maintenance / design in Oil and Gas or Petrochemical Industry.

Job Description
The Automation Specialist reports directly to the Service Manager and has responsibilities for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the woodworking machines for customers.

Responsibilities

• Technical after Sales support to external, but also internal customers as required by the Company.
• Carry on site work as requested such as:Supervision of machinery installation and commissioning, execute customer training.
  After sales service tasks like maintenance and troubleshooting, customer trainings,
  Upgrading projects of existing production lines
  
• Respond to on-call and emergency support cases remotely or visiting customer sites.
• Support the sales teams on technical matters.
• Coordinate service and capex delivery projects between Raute's delivery units and customers
• Participate in FAT testing as needed.
• Participate in product and service product development.
• Support spare part and maintenance sales as well as coordinate service work planning and scheduling.
• Design and program PLC and PC based control systems; Siemens, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, etc.
• Keep active communication with customers.
• Follow safety rules and practices set by the company, in general, but also the site rules set by the customer.
• Perform all duties assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree from Electrical or Mechatronic Engineer background
• At least 3 years of experience in engineering tasks, PLC and HMI Programming in plywood or other wood processing industry would be advantageous.
• Hands-on experience in installation and troubleshooting industrial machinery with PLC/PC controls and adjustable-speed drives.
• Proficient in PLC programming and PC based control systems: Siemens, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, Omron, etc.
• Understand electro-mechanical systems.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, CAD, or similar application experience
• Willingness to travel globally
