Roles and Responsibilities

· Work closely with business units for smooth daily accounting operations

· Prepare monthly closing, financial statements and management reports timely and accurately

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Handle company full set of accounts.
• Responsible for the full spectrum of Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables.
• Monitor daily incoming funds to ensure timely receipts.
• Reconcile monthly bank statements with company accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Preparing monthly schedules and management-specific reports such as P&L, BS etc.
• Assist CFO in the annual budgeting process.
• Assist in analysing company year-end performance and propose improvement.
• Quarterly GST tabulation and submission of GST F5.
• Preparation of weekly cashflow projection.
• Maintain Fixed Assets Register and ledger.
• Handle audit compliance and engage with external auditors / corporate secretary for tax filling, AGM and other secretarial compliance.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Starting up new accounting department with CFO.

Requirements:

• Min. Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalents. ACCA or CPA preferred.
• Minimum 3-4 years of accounting, general ledger experience.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting software.
• Prior experience as Senior Account Executive/Manager in Food Manufacturing industry advantageous.

Job Description

NUS Office of Internal Audit (OIA) is an independent unit that plays an important role in partnering with the stakeholders across the University to ensure that management anticipates, recognizes, and appropriately manages risks through its audit and advisory services.

As a data analyst in our Internal Audit Team, you are involved in the design and performance of data analytics tests to support OIA’s continuous monitoring and auditing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify relevant datasets and perform data extraction and transformation from various sources (e.g. structured and unstructured data from multiple systems).
• Create automated scripts to execute data analytics procedures to identify trends, anomalies and insights to support continuous monitoring and auditing initiatives.
• Collaborate with Financial and Operational Audit, IT Audit and external stakeholders to develop interactive dashboards and reports to meet the business needs.
• Help identify opportunities to innovate and transform how audits are performed through automation and data-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology)
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g. SQL / Python).
