The Job
The Technician will learn how to operate the terminal system by executing and maintaining the day-to-day operation in accordance with company’s work procedure under the supervision and direction set by operations and company management team.

Key responsibilities:

• Carry out the daily action plan and update the checklist accordingly.
• Perform routine check on valves and pumps status on a regular basis.
• Ensure samples are collected and recorded properly.
• Conduct ship/shore conference and berthing/unberthing vessels.
• Ensure running pumps are in good order.
• Ensure TPI/CPI are skimmed.
• Assume the role of auxiliary fire fighter during the event of emergency.
• Carry out housekeeping in the assigned area.
• Supervise the blinding/de-blinding work.
• Perform tank de-gassing, gas-test for hot work and confined space entry.
• Perform WDO & Tank Farm draining as per operations requirement.
• Perform tank gauging & temperature measurement.
• Carry out daily patrol rounds and update shift logs.
• Any other tasks as and when assigned by the management.
• Adhere to the company’s HSSE (Health, Safety, Security and Environment) Policy.

Job Requirements

• Minimum N’ level.
• Preferably tertiary education in petrol chemical or related course.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in business.

• Familiarity with shipping (bulk) and usage of laycan and demurrage, particularly on FOB-CFR
  shipments.
• Proficient understanding of contractual commercial terms and its risks & obligations.
• Proficiency in SAP system (financial module) & Commodities Trading Systems.

OPERATIONS

General Office Administration and Operations

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

FINANCIAL RETURNS:

• Contributes to installing and monitoring cash management programmes including inventories and receivables

ACCOUNTABILITY

Position is the top level in a full-service property with multiple outlets and complex operations, which may include one or more of the following: multiple buildings with an extensive range of facilities and variety of technical aspects, complex owner relationships, extensive competitive pressures, difficult labour relations and/or union pressures.

Position typically reports to the General Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree / equivalent in Hotel Administration, Business Administration, plus three years’ prior hotel management experience / equivalent combination of education and experience of general management experience in a high level operations role / prior general manager experience / equivalent combination of education and experience. Possesses a high energy level and a passion for achieving results; strong leadership skills in managing teams to drive for results; ability to manage in a competitive environment; ability to manage complex relationships; a passion for delivering superior results.
