Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Vessel Accounts Executive to manage and oversee the financial records of vessel operations. This role requires ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, timely reporting, and adherence to relevant regulations, supporting operational efficiency and financial compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1) Liaise with vessel captains to ensure that reports, including Portage Bill, Provision, and Slop chest Account, are in order. Maintain a summary record for reference.
2) Coordinate the arrangement of CTM (communications and transmission) connections.
3) Accurately record accounting information into the company's accounting systems, including MYOB and Jot ERP.
4) Prepare and complete detailed vessel reports, ensuring all supporting documentation is provided for audit requirements and processes.
5) Work with purchasing, technical, and operations departments to ensure that committed costs are properly coded and accounted for in the vessel accounts.
6) Ensure the timely preparation and submission of month-end accounts, including Profit & Loss (P&L), balance sheets, and deviation reports. Address any queries from vessel owners regarding these reports.
7) Raise fund requests for vessel owners, oversee receipts, and ensure budgeted OPEX is sent out by the 5th of each month. Follow up with non-OPEX fund requests, including completed reports with superintendent commentary and supporting details.
8) Respond to all relevant emails and inquiries regarding the vessels under your responsibility in a professional and timely manner.
Qualifications
1) Education: Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2) Experience: 2-3 years of experience in vessel accounting-related work

2) Strong MS Excel skills (basic to intermediate level).
