Job Description:

This is a full time role for a Senior Shipping Executive located in Senoko Drive. Our client is creating a new and sustainable way of supplying fresh fruit and vegetables to Singapore and you'll be responsible for preparing shipping documents for imports, ensuring compliance with Singapore’s regulations and international trade standards. It requires timely coordination with suppliers, logistics providers, and the Procurement team to prevent delays or additional charges. Responsibilities include tracking shipments, resolving issues, optimizing shipping processes, and negotiating freight rates. The position also handles administrative tasks, maintains accurate records for compliance, and collaborates with Logistics and Purchasing teams to align inventory with shipping schedules. Staying updated on industry trends and regulations is essential to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Diploma, preferably in supply chain management and logistics.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in food service or supply chain management within the manufacturing industry.
• Possess Tradenet Certification.
• Proficiency in using shipping software and tools.
• Knowledge and familiar with shipping term, shipping documentation and L/C preparation and negotiation.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, min. 8 years of strong experience in managing the full spectrum of Finance & Accounting
• Industry relevance – highly advantageous to have Shipping or Commodities/ Oil Trading exposure
• Team management experience is required
• Ability to handle high volume of activities, hands-on, may help to post entries when necessary
• Traits: Good communication skills, mature, hardworking, takes initiative, team player, results-oriented, independent, flexible
• Availability: 1-month or short notice will be beneficial

Job Scope

As the Finance Manager, you will manage a team and are responsible for the end to end spectrum of Finance responsibilities for the company and regional entities. This include daily accounting operations, delivering accurate financial reporting, monthly management accounts, management reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, audit and tax. You will support in the preparation of financial statements, ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements, prepare budgets & estimates, cash flow management in ensuring suppliers are paid on time, and internal controls. You will work closely with the senior management team and traders to provide support where required. You will be proactive and participate in continuous process improvement.
