Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for daily cloud operations and cloud implementations in technical customer engagements. This includes managing basic operations, administration, and specific cloud implementation projects or pilots. This is a project-facing/delivery role. You will work closely with projects to ensure efficient cloud infrastructure management and collaborate with the team to deliver innovative and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Operations: Execute daily cloud operations including administration, configuration, and maintenance of cloud environments.

Cloud Implementations: Lead and participate in cloud implementation projects and pilots.

Performance & Security: Ensure all configurations adhere to high standards of performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.

Issue Resolution: Resolve technical issues promptly and provide detailed documentation as per service-level agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities:

• As a Firmware Development Engineer at Micron, you will build groundbreaking high-performance controller firmware for volatile and non-volatile memory systems.
• You will assist in the evaluation, creation, build, bench testing, debugging, and failure analyzes of firmware for new high-performance memory controllers and Solid State Drives (SSD) that will improve performance, while reducing power, latency and SoC (System on Chip) complexity for the target sectors.
• You can expect to partner multi-disciplinary Engineers seek multi-functional product development issues.
• You will triage failures, file bug reports, and help the development teams with isolating issues.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Engineering/Electrical and Electronics Engineering with at least 1 to 2 years of experience as Software or Firmware Developer.
• Proficient in C Programming: Strong coding skills in C are required for firmware development.
• Experience with Embedded Software Development: Design, develop, and optimize embedded software for memory controllers.
• Skilled in using scripting languages (e.g. Python), programming tools and environments, will be beneficial.
• Experienced with NAND flash and other non-volatile storage is a distinct advantage.
• Storage Industry Knowledge: Understand the storage industry, especially SSDs, HDDs, and related technologies, will be beneficial.
• Storage Interface: Understanding of storage interfaces, such as PCIe/NVMe, is desirable.
• Flexible and adaptable to work in a multi-functional team and handle multiple priorities.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to troubleshoot and debug embedded systems.
• Collaboration and Teamwork: Work effectively in cross-functional teams to address product development challenges.

Our Snr Reliability Engineers have experience in using Physics-of-Failure based approach to develop and implement both analytical and empirical approaches for product quality/reliability risk identification and assessment during product design, manufacture as well as deployment stages. They drive AWS application-specific requirements in carrying out both lifecycle environmental and operational stress driven risk analysis, including thermal, electrical, chemical and mechanical stresses so to identify overstress and fatigue-related product weaknesses. Evaluate product design quality/reliability risks and assess electronics manufacture process related quality/reliability issues.

They drive critical component identification and the associated vendor selection and qualification requirements. Using their knowledge of process capability for electronic component production as well as system-level performance requirements to establish critical to quality and reliability metrics, they develop datacenter system level reliability model and related reliability quantification and risk analysis for datacenter configuration optimization.

During sustaining stage, you will be responsible for monitoring product performance in the field and will be responsible to drive root cause analysis of any critical failures and the associated corrective and preventive actions. You will drive effective vendor auditing and quarterly review process to drive the continuous improvements of datacenter availability.

As an SME in the reliability engineering field and product reliability leadership, as well as business negotiations and program management, you will conduct problem analysis and solve as well as communicate with vendors.

In this role, you will be required to travel within APAC and internationally.

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Reliability Engineering, Physics, Electrical, Mechanical or Materials Engineering or related field
• 8+ years of Reliability Engineering work experience in high reliability industry
• 5+ years of experience with failure analysis activities and root cause analysis
• 5+ years of experience with accelerated life testing, stress analysis and finite element analysis
